At first glance, this looks like a very simple Valentine. There is a “Wow Factor” as it is opened, though.
An 11″ wide pop-up section twists and opens…and it is not terribly hard to create this fun fold. This was a club project this month, and everyone agreed the construction was much easier than expected. The video below gives complete instructions.
Carstock and Designer Paper Dimensions:
Crumb Cake Card Base 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
Basic Black Mat (card front) 3 3/4″ x 5″
Designer Paper (card front) 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
Crumb Cake Pop-Up piece 3″ x 8″, scored at halfway point in both directions, and diagonally starting 2 1/2″ from each corner
Basic Black “booklet” 3 3/4″ x 11″, scored at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″, 8 1/4″
Designer Paper pieces 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
Whisper White mat (inside card) 4″ x 5 1/4″, with 2″ triangles removed
