Eclipse Technique

I CASEd this card from my upline Terri Meehan after seeing it in her studio with the word “HOPE”.  I just love how “Painted Harvest” looks in these soft colors.  I used Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, Sahara Sand, and Wild Wasabi.

This card shows off the Eclipse technique.  In this technique, a layer of a project is cut with letters or shapes.  Those letters or shapes are then mounted on foam strips above the openings created by the cut.

In my project, the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Whisper White was first stamped with the flowers and leaves from “Painted Harvest”.  The stamped image was then mounted on the Sweet Sugarplum card base, and the letters mounted above the cut openings.  There are so many possibilities for themes and words…WISH, JOY, HOPE, names, numbers, and more!

Here’s a version we are making for a local Blue Star Mothers group…

This one uses “Lovely Inside & Out” in Real Red and Dapper Denim.

The Large Letters Framelits are a big ticket item in our catalog…but so useful for so many projects!  You can buy them for half price with a qualifying group order – and it doesn’t have to be a party.  Contact me to set up a group order so that you and your friends can combine your orders (from any locations) to qualify for Hostess Benefits.  A group order of $450 earns a half price item.

If you need any of the great products I have used in my projects, click here to go to my online store, or use the carousel to be directed to a specific product.  If you order $35 or more in September, I will send you a Copper Leaf Shaker Card and a package of our Linen Thread.  Orders over $50 also qualify for a Buckeye Point in my Loyalty Rewards program.  I appreciate your business!
