We made these treats at a workshop in Columbus yesterday – they would be great in any colors, for any occasion. There is a small Hershey bar inside, but you could substitute any small, flat candy or gum. I saw this idea on Dawn Olchefske’s blog; she used Chiclets.
Start with a 3″x11″ piece of cardstock, scored at 3 1/4″ and 7 1/2″. Add a piece of 3 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ designer paper to one end (it only fits on one end, so do this first!) Then, punch a long word window slot in the other end. Turn the cardstock over and add sticky strip as shown to the inside of the wrapper.
Remove liner from sticky strip, fold back end, and adhere with candy in place, so that enough space is created for the width of the candy.
Fold the other end over, and wrap with a 1″x11″ piece of coordinating cardstock, scored at 5 1/2″. Pierce through the tails and insert brad.
Cut a flag end in the tails and decorate as desired. I like this project because it is so quick. You could make a lot of these in a short time!! Thanks Dawn O for the idea!!
