We made this gate fold window card in Stamp Club this month. Here is what it looks like opened up…
You can use any of your framelit shapes to make a window card. Simply make your gate fold card base and run it through the Big Shot as shown below, with the cutting edge of your framelit facing UP. I think this will also be great with the heart framelits for Valentine’s Day!
Close up the card, and run it through the Big Shot. I have a magnetic platform, so the framelit is not going to slip. If you don’t have a magnetic platform, you can use a small piece (or two) of scotch tape or a post-it to hold the framelit in place. Place the tape/post-it on the underside of the framelit facing up so the framelit doesn’t have to cut an extra layer.
We also made a couple of cute gift giving items.
There is a pack of hot cocoa in the chevron bag, so it goes with the theme of the tag. I got the idea for the bag from my upline Terri Meehan. We decorated a bag like this in our meeting last week. There are so many gourmet hot cocoas and coffees that could go into this bag, maybe with a chocolate or cookie. The bags are food-safe.
And finally, we decorated these little 4 oz hot cups with designer paper. They are just big enough to hold a K-cup or some little candies. The cups are not from Stampin’ Up! but if you are interested in getting some, I can place a group order for them. They end up costing around 10 cents each, including lid.
