This color challenge uses colors I probably would not have put together on my own, but I found that Crushed Curry adds a nice pop of color against Smoky Slate. Here is a look at the Challenge:

It’s a pretty simple card; the only thing that may not be immediately obvious is the construction of the Crushed Curry chevron. I made the wide chevron border by punching three 1″ squares from Crushed Curry cardstock. I cut each square in half diagonally, and arranged them as shown to make a chevron. The Marina Mist rickrack is made from the Borders die, and it covers the seam nicely.
Not only is this card simple, but it works as a masculine card, and it can be easily modified to different color schemes. I better remember this one because most of my cards don’t meet any of these three ideals!
