The easel card on the left was one of the favorites in last week’s Card Buffet. It was designed by my upline, Mindy Gray. We also came up with some great holiday ideas for this card type, and I made one with “Festival of Trees”. I used stars, with the larger star propping up the easel, but we also talked about using presents under the tree. A snowman or outdoor scene would work well too. Thanks to Donna S. for suggesting this!
The base of this card is 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″, and the mats are 4″x5 1/4″ and 3 3/4″x5″. The Whisper White for the stamped image is 3 3/4″x2″ with a 4″x2 1/4″ mat. The arm that creates the easel is 4 1/2″x2 3/8″, scored at 2″ and 4 1/8″.
My second remake is also from Card Buffet. I discussed it last week, and I had a chance to make it over the weekend. I simply changed the designer paper and colors to get a holiday look. The cardstock mat is a 4″ square. The designer paper is 3 3/4″x1 1/2″ and the Whisper White is 3 3/4″x2 1/4″.
