Gift Card Envelope Thinlit

Since I am working on Craft Fair projects this week, I just have to take a minute to point out how easy it is to make gift card holders with our Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlit.  One six-inch square of cardstock or designer paper, and one pass through the Big Shot, and voila! – you have the enclosure for your gift card.

So, what can you do with all the extra time you have saved?  Grinch punch art is only one option!  🙂

I made my Grinch with the Decorative Label punch and the Tree punch.  I cut about an 1/8″ off the bottom of the Tree shape so that it would match up nicely with the trim I made from the retired Scallop Square punch.  I also used a retired punch pack flower for the pompom.

The So Saffron eyes are punched from the Owl Builder, but I used my carved pencil eraser (see post here) to “stamp” the pupils.  I debated about stamping them in red, but then thought that would look too mean.  The eyebrows are the candles from the Cupcake Builder punch.

This thinlit is not just for Christmas.  I needed quick gift card holders last week, and made the ones shown below.

You can see how they open in this picture.  I used those great September 2015 Paper Pumpkin stamps along with “to/from” from the “Oh, What Fun” stamp set in our Holiday Catalog.
