Happy Leap Day! Before I get to the technique, a note about my last post – I had some questions about the Botanical Blooms Double Swing Card so I added a video to Friday’s post. Click here to go to that post.
I used the Kissing Technique on this card front. The big greeting is from the Sale-a-bration set “Botanicals for You”, and I inked it first with Pool Party. I took the inked stamp and pressed it to my “Dots for Days” background stamp, which I had inked with Bermuda Bay.
The card base is Basic Gray, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ and z-folded to create an easel propping up the greeting.
Here’s another example of the technique, using the flower from “Crazy about You” with “Dots for Days”.
I also like the retired chevron background stamp for this technique. I used Blushing Bride on the flower stamp and Calypso Coral on the chevron pattern here.
Here are pears from “Apple of My Eye” in Pear Pizzazz pressed against Old Olive on the “Positively Chevron” background.
You can get creative with this technique, using the stamps that you have; or check out the stamp set created for this technique – “I Think You’re Great” on page 130 of the Annual Catalog.
Thanks for stopping! Have a great Monday!
