I normally don’t embrace coloring…or fussy-cutting. However, I was determined to CASE a card, and I had some extra time – so I did both. It was a pleasant reminder of how relaxing it is to color, and the fussy-cutting did not take long at all.
Of course, the right tools always help – Stampin’ Blends provide the crisp color here. For the flowers, I used the Calypso Coral shades on the Rich Razzleberry card, and I used the Daffodil Delight shades on the Pumpkin Pie card. The cute stitched edge to the left of the textured piece is provided by our Stitched-Edge Ribbon, available in four colors including Razzleberry and Pumpkin.
Stampin’ Up! has new Sale-a-bration options coming out next week (available February 16). The stamps and the embossing folder I used on these cards are from the new choices.
See the Daffodil Delight card on the “Blossoming Basket” page? That’s the card I was CASE-ing. Fussy-cutting the basket allows more of the basket-weave texture to show through. Definitely worth it!
