I made these two projects last night on Facebook Live using products from the gorgeous new Forever Greenery Suite.
The card’s focal point is a stitched scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I cut it from Shimmery White cardstock so that I could do a light watercolor wash on it with Soft Sea Foam ink. Our Shimmery White cardstock holds up to a bit of water.
I added a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of vellum behind the greeting so that it wouldn’t get lost in the background print – all in all, I think it tuned out to be an eyecatching card though it was easy to make.
I made my greeting on the favor in a similar way. I did a light wash over the Shimmery White stitched circle, let it dry, and then stamped over it.
The coordinating favor is made from a 6″ x 12″ piece of designer paper. The box section at the base measures 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ x 3″. I found that our embellishment containers fit nicely in that space.
These “boxes” lay flat for storage – that may be handy if you need to make them ahead of time and transport them. The lengthwise scores on the designer paper are at 1 1/2″ and 4 1/2″, and the scores in the other direction are at 3″, 4 1/2″, 8 3/4″ and 11 3/8″. Plan the scores carefully if you have a directional pattern on your designer paper.
