Occasions and SAB 2019 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Trip Achievers Blog Hop for December!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog (Chris Slogar) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the projects.

This month, we are highlighting products from our upcoming 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs.  I am using “So Hoppy Together”, one of the SAB sets that you can choose for free with a $50 purchase.

This stamp set pairs well with the bright and quirky Happiness Blooms designer series paper that will be available from the Occasions Catalog.  I have also used the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack and Enamel Dots from the Happiness Blooms Suite.  The greetings are from “Butterfly Gala” and “Itty Bitty Greetings”, and I colored the frogs with my Stampin’ Blends.

The two cards are made from a sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ Lovely Lipstick cardstock, cut in half on the diagonal.  I scored the cardstock in half each way before cutting.  The designer paper pieces are also cut in half on the diagonal from 4″ x 5 1/4″ pieces.  I love to use my designer paper this way!

The products shown will be available from our 2019 Occasions Catalog starting January 3.  Would you like to receive the 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs in the mail?  If you live in the US, and you don’t already have a Demonstrator, please email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com.  I would be happy to send you the catalogs!

Thanks so much for taking part in our blog hop today.  Remember that currently you are at my blog – Chris Slogar – so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next, and enjoy!

Merry Wishes Tags

I got behind on my posts this week, so I have a rare Sunday post for you today.  I am grateful that Thanksgiving was early this year.  It does help to have a longer holiday season, but it still always goes too fast!

I made these tags for a swap, and they were really fun to pull together.  I knew I wanted a 3D ornament, so I started with that.  The ornament is made from five 2″ circles, each scored in half and glued to the next one.

The stamps and “Merry” framelit are from the Merry Christmas to All bundle.  The tag itself measures 3″ x 5 1/2″.

There is some extra sparkle on the “Merry” die-cut.  I sprayed Shimmer Mist over the words before attaching them to the tag.  You can make Shimmer Mist by adding a few drops of shimmer paint (I used Champagne Mist) to a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol.

If you need any of our fabulous products, I would very much appreciate your business in my online store!  Please click here to shop or use the carousel below.  I apologize that some of the items from the Holiday Catalog are already sold out for the season.  However, you will find great deals in the Year-End Closeouts!

Place an order over $35 with this month’s Hostess Code and you will receive a package of Linen Thread and a handmade card from me as a thank you!  Orders over $50 are also eligible for a Buckeye Point in my Loyalty Rewards Program.

Box Favors

These favors are from last night’s Facebook Live.  You can make them with cardstock or designer paper, in any theme.  The one shown above uses a greeting from “Festive Farmhouse” with a designer paper piece from the All is Bright collection.  The box itself is made from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.

This box is made from designer paper.  The base and the spotted strip are from the Share What You Love collection.

Here’s a view from the side – you can see that the side panels fold in along a diagonal fold while the front and back panel remain fully upright to create the peaks.

This is how the box opens.  Opening and closing the top is best accomplished by pulling the peaks apart to release the folds.  There is no adhesive at the box top.

Of course, you can’t look at this shape without thinking of a house…

Here’s a look at my gingerbread house version.  The roof is made from 1/2″ strips, and the door is a 1 1/2″ x 2″ piece of designer paper, rounded at the top with the 1 1/2″ circle punch.

And my dog houses <3 !!  “Happy Tails” and its coordinating dog builder punch will be available starting January 3.  Love that little guy!!

The base dimensions for all of these box favors is 5″ x 9 1/2″.  Score at 1 1/2″, 4 1/2″, 6″ and 9″ on the long side, and make a mark at 3″ and 7 1/2″ for the roof peak.  Turn the piece and score for the bottom flaps at 1 3/8″.  Partially score for the box top (skipping the 3″ sections) at 3 1/2″.

This post is meant as a supplement to last night’s Facebook Live.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions, or check out the video on my Facebook page.

Latte Sliders

I am really thrilled to be the Guest Author of today’s Wednesday Tutorial at splitcoaststampers.com.  Splitcoaststampers is such a great source of inspiration, and I am honored to contribute!

You may recognize my project from last year – I am providing directions for the Latte Sliders that I created for instant Starbucks Latte packages.  I have remade them with products from our 2018 Holiday Catalog.  You can easily adapt this project to any holiday or theme by changing papers and stamps.  You can also enclose other items in the slider – simply modify the size of the designer paper accordingly.

Thanks so much for visiting my page.  If you need any of our great products, please click here to shop.  I appreciate your business!

2019 Occasions and SAB Paper Share

2019 Occasions and SAB Paper Share

There are so many great designer papers in the 2019 Occasions Catalog, and I am offering a way to sample them all.  I am taking orders for a paper “share”.  I will order full packs of the papers listed, and cut and package them into smaller portions.  You will receive a 6″ square* of each pattern from each of the collections listed below.  The number in parenthesis indicates the number of different patterns included in each collection.

All My Love (6)

Floral Romance (2 Designer Paper, 2 Vellum)

How Sweet It Is (6)

Happiness Blooms (6)

Gingham Gala (5)

Needlepoint Nook (6)

Classic Garage (12)

Happiness Blooms Cards & Envelopes (1 of each size)

SAB Botanical Butterfly (6)

SAB Foilsl (2)

*If there is any variance in the 12″ sheets received in the full packages, I will still cut them in half each way, making the share dimension approximately 6″ square.

In all, you will receive (53) 6″ squares, neatly packaged and labeled in cello bags, and two cards and envelopes.  The cost is $17, including shipping.  If you would like to pick up, the cost is $13.50.  The cost is based on the first eight items listed – the SAB papers are included for free.

If you would like to purchase a share, please email me at buckeyeinklingsorders@gmail.com with your order.  Include your name, mailing address and email address for Paypal.  I will send a Paypal invoice on or after December 27.

I will place an order for all paid shares on January 3.  The process to  receive and process takes about two weeks.  Barring any backorders, I will fill and mail the shares on or before January 15.

More Sneak Peeks

This card uses two stamp sets from the upcoming Occasions 2019 Catalog.  The greetings are from “Amazing Life” and the cake is from the cake bundle “Piece of Cake”.

The Whisper White piece measures 5 1/4″ x 7″, scored at 3″.  It is mounted on a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Lovely Lipstick.  The front of the Whisper White piece is narrower than the back so that the designer paper shows.

That gorgeous new paper is from the Happiness Blooms collection – it measures 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″.  The enamel dots and ribbon are also part of the Happiness Blooms Suite.

This card is a CASE of a card I saw on PInterest by Jan Clothier.  You can see it here – it has quite a different look because of the different papers and colors.  This layout would be great in many colors and themes.

Would you like to receive the 2019 Sale-a-bration and Occasions Catalogs?  If you don’t already have a Demonstrator, I would be happy to send them to you.  Please contact me at stampyourworld@gmail.com.  I will be mailing them later this month, and products from these catalogs will be available January 3.

Hello Cupcake

Today I have a sneak peek at “Hello Cupcake” – one of the stamp sets that you will be able to choose for free with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration.  It is a multiple-step stamp set.  I used five stamps to make the cupcake (liner, cake, frosting, sprinkles and heart pick).  It also includes three pretty greetings.

I also want to point out the lovely pierced outline on my Whisper White greeting.  The Needlepoint Element framelits from the upcoming Occasions 2019 catalog include a framelit that creates this pierced pattern that fits within the Pretty Label Punch.

In the meantime, don’t forget that our Year-End Closeout sale is happening now, with discounts up to 50%.  If you are looking for a gift for a papercrafter (or yourself!), I recommend the Christmas Traditions Punch Box at 40% off, or $27.  Click here to shop.

More Favors

I have pictures and dimensions from last night’s Facebook Live today.  These Mini Crackers are the first of two types of favors I made.  The cracker tube starts from a piece of designer paper 6″ x 3 3/8″, scored at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/4″, and 3″.  I used a 3/4″ circle punch to create the notches to cinch in the ends.

This upright open-top box is the other favor.  The base is the same as the Mini File Box I showed two years ago.  The video for that project is below.  I used Dashing Along designer paper instead of cardstock, and I filled the box with a bag of Hersey Kisses.

I hope these pictures and details make a good supplement to last night’s Live.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions, or check out the video on Facebook.
