Dashing Deer Class To Go

I am offering “Dashing Deer” projects in this month’s Class To Go. I know you will love the elegant images and thinlits, and the class projects feature the Dashing Along designer series paper that is only available in September.

For the cost of the bundle and shipping, you will have the supplies you need to make six great projects. You will make two each of three designs – but they are not all cards this month. The class includes two cards with envelopes, two gift card holders with envelopes and two decorated pillow boxes. As a special bonus, I will also include a pack of All is Bright Paper Clips.

In order to comply with Stampin’ Up! rules, I must take orders before obtaining product for the class. I will take orders through Wednesday, September 26, or until I reach capacity. At that point, I will order product and create kits. The kits will ship out to you no later than Friday, October 5.

Barn Door Thank You

I’ve mixed “Barn Door” with papers from our Holiday Catalog here – the wood grain from the Festive Farmhouse designer paper collection and a background paper from the Country Lane collection. A change of colors and seasons gives it a new look.

The greeting is from “All Things Thanks” and I cut it out with one of the Farmhouse Framelits. I guess this card used quite a hodge-podge of papers, stamp sets, and tools!

Many Blessings Note Cards – Holiday Version

I have another remake of a Facebook Live today – this time I am showing note card sets that we made in August. I love this project for teacher and hostess gifts. The folder for these note cards is very easy to make, and I wanted to be sure to add video instructions to my YouTube library so that the project wouldn’t be buried in Facebook.

You can see pictures and details from the fall version by clicking here. There are dimensions and detailed pictures on that post. The video instructions are included today, with my completed holiday version. I CASEd the folder from Mikaela Titheridge of The Crafty Oinkpen.

Note that the designer paper strip on these note cards measures 1 1/2″ x 5″. (There is a goof in the video, corrected by a subtitle – but it can’t hurt to reiterate that point here!)

Splitcoast Guest Author

I am really thrilled to be the Guest Author of today’s Wednesday Tutorial at splitcoaststampers.com!! Splitcoaststampers has always been a great source of inspiration for me, so it is an honor to give back this way!

You may recognize my project from a recent Facebook Live – I am providing directions for the Gift Card Wallets that I showed in August, and I have remade them with products from our 2018 Holiday Catalog. You can easily adapt this project to any holiday or theme by changing papers and stamps.

My samples here use the Festive Farmhouse Designer Paper Collection and the Dashing Deer stamp set and framelits.

Each version has two pockets on the inside – I am using the pockets for a gift card and a note card.

Each gift card holder is made from an 8″ square of designer paper – the Cherry Cobbler plaid version is my “portrait” version.

The Mossy Meadow snowflake version is my “landscape” version, and it opens as shown below.

Donut Worry

I have some college students on my mailing list that will appreciate these! This is a really simple gift card holder. It starts as a 4 1/4″ x 11″ base, scored at 5 1/2″ – just like a regular card. It is also scored at 9″ (2″ from the right side of the card), and that 2″ is folded to the inside of the card to make a pocket.

I nipped the edge of the pocket with my 2″ circle punch, and I used Dunkin’ Donuts colors here. I like to send the kids Dunkin’ Donuts cards because I think they are likely to get an actual breakfast if they go there! Of course, they can still get a frou-frou coffee.

Since I was making a handful of these, I set up my Stamparatus with the letters from “Labeler Alphabet” to do all of the greetings.

I used all four sides of the two acrylic plates. The picture above shows the D,N,T,O, and R that were stamped in Pumpkin Pie on one side of the plate, and the B,H, and Y in place on the other side of the plate for the Early Espresso ink. When the plate is flipped, the B,H, and Y land where you see the finished greeting on the Whisper White mat.

The other letters are shown here on the second plate. Again I placed them using both sides of the plate. I found it easiest to put the letters for each color on their own side. Even though “BE HAPPY” is all Early Espresso, I couldn’t place the letters as close as I liked them in one step, so here you see only the E, A, and P in place. (I had to share the “P” between the plates – there is only one solid “P” in the stamp set.)

My favorite part of this card is the 3″ x 4″ vellum that looks like a wax paper around the donut. The coffee bean paper is from the retired Coffee Break Collection. The sequins are also retired, but I would suggest the Melon Mambo Glitter Enamel Dots if you are looking for a current trim.

Daisy Punch Sunflowers

Sunflowers are such a cheery sight this time of year, and they are so easy to make with the Daisy Punch. I layered three daisies stamped with Crushed Curry ink on Crushed Curry cardstock for the flowers, and I used a 1 3/8″ circle of Early Espresso, embossed with the Sparkle TIEF. The Old Olive leaves are from “Painted Harvest”.

I can never quite capture the beauty of embossing in my photos. I used copper embossing powder on my greeting to coordinate with the 1/4″ Copper Trim that has been stretched out.

Many Blessings Fun Fold

This is one of my favorite fun folds. The Blackberry Bliss is the folding layer, and it is all mounted on a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Old Olive base.

I used stamps from “Many Blessings” on the stitched oval, and I colored them with Stampin’ Blends. The greeting is from “Merry Christmas to All”.

The Blackberry Bliss measures 5 1/4″ x 6 3/4″, scored at 4″, and the Whisper White insert measures 3 3/4″ x 5″. The designer paper is from the Country Lane collection, and it measures 2 1/2″ x 5″.

I made a Christmas version with designer paper from the Santa’s Workshop collection. The colors here are Poppy Parade and Garden Green.
