Many Blessings Note Card Set

This project from last night’s Facebook Live uses several new products that will be available from the Holiday Catalog starting September 5. It is a note card folder, and you can make it with any products. I CASEd the folder from Mikaela Titheridge of The Crafty Oinkpen. She made a gorgeous set with the Varied Vases bundle.

I used a 1″ x 10″ band to wrap around my folder. It is scored at 2 3/8″, 3″, 7″ and 7 5/8″. Don’t you love the embossed pattern on the cover piece? It is created with the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The pockets are 1/4″ deep, and I have a total of six note cards and envelopes in my folder.

Each note card is decorated with a 1 1/2″ x 5″ strip of designer paper from the Regals Designer Paper Collection. I colored the images from “Many Blessings” with my Stampin’ Blends. The greetings are from “Itty Bitty Greetings”. These note cards were inspired by a project by Marisa Alvarez.

The note card folder is made from a 7 1/2″ x 8 1/4″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock. It is scored at 3 7/8″ and 4 3/8″ on the long side and 5 1/4″ and 5 1/2″ on the short side. Cut away a wedge as shown.

The tabs that hold the pockets in place measure 1 1/4″ x 2″, scored at 1/2″ and 3/4″.

The embossed front panel measures 3 3/4″ x 5 1/8″.

Blended Seasons for a Wedding

I made a wedding card with the Blended Seasons Bundle, with a bit of designer paper from the Twinkle Twinkle collection. The colors are Gray Granite and Petal Pink. It would make a great anniversary card too!

The Gray Granite card front only extends over about half of the card, and the Petal Pink stitched shape serves as the remainder of the card front.

The beautiful Blended Seasons bundle is only available through the end of August. It offers seasonal images that are suitable for coloring. Along with this promotion, there is an additional set of Watercolor Pencils available.

Making Christmas Bright Sneak Peek

“Making Christmas Bright” will be available from our Holiday Catalog starting September 5, and you can get it in a bundle with the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch. I am thrilled to have a punch with this stamp set because, of course, we are going to want strings of lights.

The card base is 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 5 1/2″. The designer paper pieces measure 2 3/4″ x 4″ and the cardstock mat for each front panel measures 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. The Whisper White pieces are 2 1/2″ x 4″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″.

The designer paper on both versions is from the All is Bright collection, which will also be available starting September 5.

Envelope Punch Board Wallet

This little gift card holder reminds me of a simple folded wallet. We made it two different ways last night on Facebook Live. Each starts with an 8″ square of designer paper. This is the version I am calling “portrait”, and the initial punch location on the envelope punch board is 3 1/4″.

There are two pockets inside. I am using one for a gift card, and one for a note card. The Poppy Parade mat measures 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ and the Whisper White measures 2 5/8″ x 3 5/8″.

I used a print from the Animal Expedition collection with the Little Elephant bundle.

This is the “landscape” version. I made it with an 8″ square of the Tea Room Specialty Designer Paper. The Tea Room paper is lighter than our typical designer paper, and it works great, too! To create this version, the initial punch location on the envelope punch board is 2 1/4″

The inner card for this version is slightly smaller. The Calypso Coral mat measures 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″, and the Very Vanilla measures 2 1/8″ x 3 3/8″.

I used my favorite new thing from the upcoming Holiday Catalog for my final sample…

These products are from the Festive Farmhouse Suite that will be available in Holiday Catalog starting September 5. The stamp set is called Farmhouse Christmas. The striped burlap trim, cotton twine and galvanized button all come from the suite. I used Stampin’ Blends to color the truck – the Black Blends are also from the upcoming Holiday Catalog.

I made the “portrait” version from an 8″ square of Mossy Meadow cardstock, and then I only needed a small piece of designer paper (2 7/8″ x 3 7/8″) to decorate the front. I hope that is not too confusing – this Festive Farmhouse version is the same size as the Little Elephant version, but I turned it on it’s side to decorate it.

Springtime Impressions Thinlits

The butterfly from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits makes a great centerpiece. I just added a little bling and a greeting here. I frequently highlight the new bright colors in our collection, but today I am showing off Gray Granite and Soft Sea Foam. They are so soft and lovely!

The overall look of this card is very simple – I didn’t want to take away from the beautiful butterfly. I did add a little extra color and trim to the inside of the card, though.

Foolproof Coloring

I have always loved to color, but watercoloring takes a little patience and practice. To be honest, I am not always happy with my results. I have better success with Watercolor Pencils and Stampin’ Write Markers, though they have never been as satisfying to me as my new “go to” coloring medium – Stampin’ Blends. They are alcohol-based markers that produce gorgeous results!

I colored the typewriter from “p.s. You’re the best” with Light and Dark Granny Apple Green and Light and Dark Smoky Slate. I am so thrilled with the bright coverage and absence of stroke marks!

Why did I pick green? I have a very clear memory of a summer school typing class that my siblings and I took in the 70’s. I can still see the rows of metallic green typewriters in my mind. The only thing missing on the stamped typewriter is the swing-arm carriage return.

Since the green turned out so cute, I made Highland Heather and Flirty Flamingo versions to send to my girls.

These are really simple cards, with just a 3/4″ strip of designer paper and a few trims. I’ll have to tuck these cards away until I start missing my girls this fall! Haha – well, I do miss Jen as she is already back in Columbus, but we have Julia home with us for a couple weeks.

Back to the Blends – I can’t sing their praises enough! I know they are an investment, but so worth it. Keep them in mind for your birthday or Christmas if you need an occasion, and give your loved ones a wish list of colors. I know you will enjoy them!

Blended Seasons Bundle and Sneak Peeks

I have a little recap of last night’s Facebook Live today. I used the largest of the Stitched Seasons dies to cut the pocket pieces. The bands at the top of each pocket are 1/2″ wide. The Mango Melody circle measures 2″, and the Old Olive stitched circle measures 1 7/8″.

There are several items on these projects from the upcoming 2018 Holiday Catalog. They will not be available in the Online Store until September 5. However, if you join as a Demonstrator, you can include any of these items in your Starter Kit.

The “Sneak Peek” items are the Halloween paper (from the Toil & Trouble Collection), the bats made with the Spooky Bat Punch, and the gold foil reindeer made with the Detailed Deer Thinlits.

This fun fold also uses the largest of the Stitched Seasons dies. The Old Olive shape opens to the right while the designer paper side opens to the left.

The Shaded Spruce card base measures 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. The designer paper measures 3″ x 5 1/4″ and the Whisper White mat measures 4″ x 5 1/4″.

Here’s the version with a Merry Merlot stitched shape in the place of Old Olive.

Color Your Season

Darling Label Punch Box

My color inspiration for these cute birthday notecards came from two of my favorite new things in the catalog. I used colors to match the Glitter Enamel Dots and 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbons. The Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape version is my favorite.

The line of candles is from “Birthday Backgrounds”, and the greeting and punch shape come from the Darling Label Punch Box. You could use this layout with any of the greetings from this set. The stamp set and punch come in a beautiful tin.
