Varied Vases

This year’s In Colors make this card crisp and pretty!  I love to use Blueberry Bushel with Lovely Lipstick, and Call Me Clover is also a great new bright.

The images and greetings are all from “Varied Vases”.  The Whisper White measures 3 3/4″ x 5″, and it is stamped four times with the long greeting to create a frame for the 2 3/4″ x 4″ designer paper.

There are just two days left for our fabulous Starter Kit offer.  This is a great deal for anyone who loves Stampin’ Up! products – you don’t have to sell.  In fact, there is no commitment beyond the Starter Kit, and through July 31, you get an additional 10 ink pads free with your kit.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me at stampyourworld@gmail.com if you would like to discuss this.  Or click here to join now.

More Dandelion Wishes

My posts are limited this week while I am on the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip to Alaska.  It has been fabulous, and I got to see the upcoming 2018 Holiday Catalog – you are going to love it!  I will order copies for current customers ASAP.  If you do not already have a Demonstrator, and you would like a copy, please email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com.  I will be happy to send you one for free!

I will have more pictures from the trip on my facebook page later today.  Also, please remember there is no Facebook Live tonight.  However, I do have a card to share today…

Is anyone else taken with our new Gray Granite?  I am so happy to have this new Neutral in our color palette – it’s so rich and sophisticated.

It’s also dark enough to provide contrast for the embossed white images and greeting from “Dandelion Wishes”.  Love those graceful dandelion seeds blowing in the !

The greeting on this one is from “Petal Palette”.

Christmas in July, Part 2

These are the projects we made in last night’s Facebook Live.  Special thanks to my daughter Jen for presenting the gift card holder – truly her favorite thing to receive:)

Also, a reminder about schedule – there will be no Facebook Live next Wednesday, July 25.

This is very similar to last week’s gift card holder (click here for last week’s projects), but at only 4″ high, you can cut three from a 12″ square of designer paper.

Designer Paper 4″ x 10 1/2″, scored at 3″, 6″, 9 1/8″

Real Red 1″ x 7″, scored at 1 3/4″ and 5″

Whisper White 2 3/4″ x 3 5/8″

Real Red 2 7/8″ x 3 3/4″

The smaller plaid favor started from a 5″ square of designer paper.  It is scored at 1 1/4″ and 3 3/4″ in one direction and 1 7/8″ and 3 1/8″ in the other direction.  The Real Red piece is cut with one of the Stitched Label Framelits.

The larger Shaded Spruce version started from a 6″ square of designer paper.  It is scored at 1 1/2″ and 4 1/2″ in one direction and 2 1/4″ and 3 3/4″ in the other direction.  I cut the Real Red closure piece with the largest Stitched Oval Framelit.

These are really fun and easy projects – and so adaptable to other themes and occasions.  They are also a great way to use any designer paper you may be collecting – or better yet, shop from this year’s new collections.  Many are currently in the Buy 3, Get 1 Free sale.

I hope these pictures and details make a good supplement to last night’s Live.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions, or check out the video on Facebook.  I would also be happy to answer any questions you may have on our Starter Kit special.  Email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com with questions or to set up a phone call.

Squeeze the Day!

It’s fun to revisit “Lemon Zest” with our new colors, Pineapple Punch and Granny Apple Green.  These are two bright and summery colors that I cannot get enough of!  And those designer paper patterns…can’t get enough of those either!  I used a 1 3/4″ strip here.

I made up my own sentiment from parts of the sentiments in “Lemon Zest”.  Some people like to use Stampin’ Write Markers to ink up portions of stamps.  My preferred method is to use tape to mask off the portion of the stamp I am not using.   Then I press the stamp into an ink pad and remove the tape before stamping.

I didn’t take pictures while making this particular greeting, but I do have a couple of pictures from a different partial sentiment – they will give you the idea.

The sentiment on the block from “Varied  Vases” says “You are simply the best!”  I covered “the best!” with tape.

I pressed the whole stamp into my Call Me Clover ink pad.  You can see that this makes a blotchy mess on the tape.  That is ok as long as you remember to pull away the tape before stamping!  In this case, I was left with “You are simply”, and I added the thinlit word “amazing” to the card.

On my lemon card, this was a bit fussy because I used portions of three stamps…but worth it!

Botanical Bliss

Botanical Bliss is one of our pretty new bundles this year.  It features lacy framelits that you can use to make tags, like I have done here, or cut-out shapes.  I am also featuring two of my favorite new colors here – Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink.

Mistletoe Season

The theme of last night’s Facebook Live was Christmas in July – using the Under the Mistletoe Suite from our Annual Catalog.  I absolutely love designer paper projects, and all of these projects feature the beautiful patterns from this suite.  If you are not ready for Christmas projects, try these techniques with other papers for other occasions.  And don’t forget to stock up on designer paper while it’s on sale in July!

Both of these mini cards are explosion cards.  The Real Red card base is 3″ x 6″, scored at 3″, creating a 3″ square finished size.  The designer paper on the front measures 2 7/8″ square, and the explosion piece on the inside (see picture below) is a 6″ square.  Remember my warning that this size is too thick to fit in our 3″ square envelopes.

The Shaded Spruce version does fit in the 3″ envelopes.  The base is 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 2 3/4″, creating a 2 3/4″ finished size.  The designer paper on the front measures 2 1/2″, and the explosion piece on the inside is a 5 1/2″ square.  The cards shown above are opened up in the picture below.

The tag versions are 2″ wide, and the explosion pieces that fit inside are 4″ squares.  Each of the tags is longer than their explosion pieces.  The Shaded Spruce base is 2″ x 5″, scored at 2 1/2″.  The Real Red base is cut a even longer to allow room for punching with the Scalloped Tag Topper.  It was 6″ long, scored at 3″ before punching.

Here is a closer look at the 4″ square card.  The Old Olive card base is 4″ x 8″, scored at 4″, and the explosion piece is an 8″ square (shown below).  The stamped Whisper White piece measures 3 1/4″ square and the Old Olive mat is a 3 3/8″ square.  Each of the strips is 3/4″ x 3 1/2″.

The greetings and large evergreen branch are from “Christmas Pines”.

And finally, we made this quick gift card holder.  The designer paper measures 5 1/2″ x 12″, scored at 4″ and 8″.  The Old Olive and Real Red cardstock pieces on the front are each 3 5/8″ squares, and the strips are 3/4″ wide.

Christmas in July

Tonight’s projects show off our Under the Mistletoe Suite, but they are also easily adaptable to other occasions and themes.  These are great designer paper projects (my favorite!!), so they are timely with this month’s Buy 3 Get 1 Free sale.

Classic Color Combo Updated

I have always loved the color combination suggested by one of our early Color Coaches – Night of Navy, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight.  I replaced the Daffodil Delight with Pineapple Punch on this card for a fresh pop of color.  Our new bright colors are simply irresistible, whether sprinkled in with our favorites, or used on their own.

Notes of Kindness Card Kit

Have you noticed this great new kit on page 7 of the Annual Catalog?  It is called Notes of Kindness, and it is a winner!  After you make 20 beautiful thank you cards (five of each of the four designs shown), you still have a fabulous stamp set to use on your own projects.

Here’s a fun alternative that is also very easy.  I used one of the greetings from my kit on a Stitched Label Framelit shape, and I added a few stamps from “P.S. You’re the Best”.  The flowers are colored with Stampin’ Write Markers in Poppy Parade and Lemon Lime Twist.
