And finally, my card for today…

“Birthday Wit” is true to its name. There are a handful of clever greetings in this set, like this one, but sadly, the stamp set is on the chopping block (aka Retiring List)!

My card is very adaptable to your favorite colors and papers. I chose a background from the Pick a Pattern collection and some nice greens and purples – Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist, Elegant Eggplant, and Sweet Sugarplum.

The Bermuda Bay strip measures 2″ x 5 1/2″, and I put it in the Simple Stripes folder on a diagonal for embossing. The bulk of the greeting, stamped in Bermuda Bay, fits in the 2 1/4″ circle punch. The scallop circle (2 1/2″) and solid circle (2 5/8″) are cut with the Layering Circles Framelits. I stamped the greeting a second time in Sweet Sugarplum and fussy-cut it to attach over the circle.

Apron of Love

I made these cards with “Apron of Love” for the ladies who joined my team at the very end of Sale-a-bration, and I really love the color combination of Crushed Curry and Berry Burst. These cards use a retired Demonstrator set, but I also wanted a similar card using current products.

…So I made a card for Mom. It’s fun to make and arrange the utensils from the framelit set. The designer papers on both of these cards is from the Pick a Pattern Collection.

Perennial Birthday

I am drawn to the carefree style of “Perennial Birthday”. I made my own background mat with two of the stamps, and I sponged color onto the flowers and leaves with my sponge daubers – such a quick and easy way to color! The stitched circle measures 2 3/8″, and the larger scalloped circle measures 2 3/4″.

I’ve worked in a couple of my favorite trims here – the Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon and the Glitter Enamel dots. This is a great card to adapt to your favorite colors with your favorite trims.

Color Revamp

Our color collections are getting a makeover this year – some of our favorite In Colors from past years are back, and some gorgeous new colors are being introduced! Let’s start with a look at the new line-up because it is stunning!!

So what does this mean to our existing colors? Thirteen of our current core colors are retiring along with the 2016-2018 In Colors (except for Flirty Flamingo which returns as a Bright).

The chart below shows what is new. There are sixteen colors here since White, Vanilla and Black are now “Basics” instead of “Neutrals”.

Please don’t wait to stock up on ink refills, cardstock and accessories in the Retiring Colors! Retiring Tools and Accessories are available while supplies last; stamps will be produced until May 25. Retiring Products

This is a bittersweet time of year. The Retiring List forces us to say goodbye to some of our favorite products in order to make way for the new. If you think this year’s list is long…yes, you are right.

How can so much be on the chopping block? The length of this Retiring List is an indicator of how fresh and beautiful the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog is!! I can’t wait for you to see it!! If you are an existing customer, or if you order from me by April 30, you will be on my list to receive a new catalog in May. I will send them out to you Priority Mail with a handmade card.

In the meantime, check out the Retiring Lists – please note there are two separate pdfs, one for the Occasions Catalog and one for the Annual Catalog – and stock up on your favorites. A couple of things to note about these lists…

Bundles – Products are only bundled at a discount in the first catalog in which they appear. Look for the *** to indicate the bundles in which components will be carried over, just not at the bundled price. Shop now to take advantage of bundle pricing on these!

Reconfigured Items – Note that the stacked double-plus sign indicated that an item will be reconfigured.

Discounts – Discounts may be introduced on or after May 8. The discounts will not be pre-announced and they will vary by market based on inventory.

Fruit Basket Double Z Cards

Here’s a great layout to show off your favorite designer paper. Just pick out a couple of coordinating patterns, and add a focal point. I have used products from the Tutti Frutti suite.

The Pool Party card base measures 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″. The Pool Party strip measures 1 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, also scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″.

The watermelon print measures 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″. The coordinating print (Real Red, in this card shown above) measures 4″ x 5 1/4″, and the strip is 3/4″ x 4″.

I simply layered up a greeting on circles – the Whisper White stitched circle is the one that measures 1 7/8″. I used my 2″ punch for the Lemon Lime Twist, and the background Real Red scallop measures 2 1/4″.

Here’s a closer look at the watermelon pieces. I wanted to make my slices larger than the punch shape, so I layered the punched pieces (stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and Real Red) onto a 3/4″ Garden Green circle. You can easily make two at a time, as shown above. Simply cut close to the top of each slice to separate them.

Lemon Zest

“Lemon Zest” pairs well with the Tutti Frutti Suite. The papers and sequins are perfect alongside lemons and limes. The greeting is from “Lovely Wishes”.

The Pumpkin Pie mat measures 3 3/4″ x 5″, and the Whisper White measures 2 3/4″ x 3 1/2″. I used Pumpkin Pie Stitched-Edge Ribbon along the left edge of the Whisper White piece for added texture.
