I made five cards with two different inking techniques on this week’s Facebook Live. This card uses the baby wipe technique with stamps from “Floral Essence”. I CASEd this card from a card I saw on Pinterest by Mindy Eggen.
I used Blueberry Bushel and Coastal Cabana for the flowers, and I used Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch for the leaves.
I also used a baby wipe “pad” to ink my stamp when making this ombre card. I used rubber bands to secure a “pad” of wipes to an acrylic block. I could pick up the “pad” to apply the ink to the large greeting on my Stamparatus, and proceed to stamp the greeting three times using the Hinge Step.
The stamps are from “Seriously the Best”, and the ink colors are Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, and Pineapple Punch.
This birthday cake here was also stamped from ink on a baby wipe. The stamp is from “Wish for It All”, and the colors are Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo, and Pineapple Punch.
“Inspiring Iris” is a multi-step stamp set. The black outline and green foliage are separate stamps, and the flowers are a separate stamp. I inked the flower colors (Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather) by adding the two colors to the flower stamp with sponge daubers.
And finally, I used two ink colors on the tulip stamps for this card as well. I tapped each stamp first in Grapefruit Grove, and then I added Poppy Parade around the edges with a sponge dauber.

The Stampin’ Blends are NOT retiring, but they will only be available in Combo Packs in the new Annual Catalog.
Typically, bundles are not carried over, even if the stamps and dies from the bundle appear in the new catalog. This year, a select few of the bundles are carrying over with bundle pricing.
Welcome to the Trip Achievers Blog Hop for May! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog (Chris Slogar) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along through all of the projects.
I chose to highlight a stamp from the Ornate Style stamp set – part of our early release of the Ornate Garden Suite that will appear in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. Click the link below to see all of the products in the suite.
Last night’s Facebook Live used one type of explosion fold for three different projects – the first is this gate fold, held closed by a 2″ belly band and decorated with a stamp and layer die from the Ornate Garden Suite.
The Old Olive base measures 5 1/2″ x 8″, scored at 2″ and 6″, and the designer paper pieces measure 1 7/8″ x 5 3/8″.
The gate fold opens to reveal the explosion piece, made from a 4″ x 8″ piece of Ornate Garden designer paper. The Terracotta Tile mat measures 2 1/2″ square, and the Whisper White measures 2 3/8″ square.
Here’s another look at the explosion piece, which can be made with any paper that is twice as long as it is wide.
If you are interested in the Ornate Garden Suite, all of the products are shown below. This suite will be featured in our 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, but it is being offered early.
My second project uses the Birthday Bonanza suite, and a larger explosion piece.
The designer paper measures 5″ x 10″, and it is folded into a piece of Coastal Cabana that measures 5 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 2 1/2″ and 7 1/2″. The Mango Melody belly band measures 1 1/2″ x 11″.
The designer paper pieces on the front measure 5″ x 3 1/4″ and 5″ x 2 1/4″. The squares on the inside measure 3 3/8″ square and 3 1/4″ square.
The last project uses a 6″ x 12″ piece of designer paper – it is simply the explosion piece, tied up with ribbon.
It is perfect to enclose a small gift, like a tea bag or a gift card, and I like the fact that both sides of the designer paper show so prominently.

After giving these away with orders last month, I have had requests for additional Stamp Case Gift Set kits. I am offering a limited number of kits through April 24, or until I have reached my maximum.
These do not require a purchase in the Online Store – instead, they are being sold as a Class To Go (without stamps or dies) for $35 each. In addition to the Peaceful Poppy choices, please scroll through to see the additional choices from the Ornate Garden Suite.
The finished project includes the case with hardware and decorations, a tray with six greeting cards, a trio of Hershey Nuggets, and a coordinating pen.

I recommend these items if you would like to follow my samples. However, it is possible to substitute other stamps, die shapes and colors for the greetings.

The beautiful spring colors and prints in the Best Dressed designer paper collection are perfect for any spring occasion! I used the Hold on to Hope bundle to make an Easter card, and I also plan to use this layout for Communions and Baptisms.
I made a simple patchwork background for my card. The upper rectangles measure 1 7/8″ x 2 1/8″, and the lower rectangles measuer 1 7/8″ x 2 7/8″. The Lovely Lipstick mat measures 4″ x 5 1/4″. This would be a great background for any focal point, with any papers.

You can make easy cards that are beautifully coordinated with one of our Memories & More Card Packs. I have used cards and stickers from the Tropical Oasis pack here.
I added some extra fun to the inside of these cards with w-fold pieces. I made two different versions…
My first sample is an example of the way I typically make my w-folds. The Pretty Peacock strip (1 3/4″ x 11″, scored at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″) supports four panels. Each panel is a 2″ x 2 1/2″ piece of card on a 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ Pretty Peacock mat.
My second sample is even easier, and less bulky. I didn’t mat the card pieces in this case – they are plenty sturdy on their own.
I used the same Pretty Peacock strip as in the first sample to hold four 2″ x 3″ cards. This dimension is half of one of the small cards, or a quarter of one of the larger cards.
There are so many beautiful cards in each of our Memories and More card packs, and I find this layout a fun way to use them!
