Gate Fold Pocket Card

I made this simple gate fold card in several themes last night of Facebook Live.  This is my favorite kind of project – it checks all the boxes…

  • Uses designer paper (the more patterns, the better!)
  • Can be made in any theme
  • Special tools are optional
  • Is easily reproducible

The stamps are from “Cup of Christmas” from the upcoming 2019 Holiday Catalog.  I used colors and paper from the Bird Ballad collection and a felt flower from the Follow Your Art suite.

Petal PInk 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 1 1/2″ and 7″

Designer Paper 4″ x 3 3/4″ and 4″ x 1 1/4″

Pool Party (embossed with Mosaic folder) 4 1/4″ x 1″

Whisper White 4″ x 3 3/4″

The Petal Pink base comes together as a gate fold, but the Pool Party strip covers the seam.  For the gift card version of this card, I added adhesive to secure the sides of the 1 1/2″ folded section.

In the card version, I leave this folded section free of adhesive.

This one uses products from the Come To Gather suite from our upcoming 2019 Holiday Catalog.

These are from the Wrapped in Plaid suite – all of these holiday products will be available starting September 4.  Note that you can make this same card in the landscape orientation (top card), and the pocket is off to the right instead of at the bottom of the card.

I used “Cup of Christmas” again here, but this time with the Let It Snow designer paper collection.  I also made a Mini Curvy Keepsake Box with a new die that will be available September 4.

I won’t add a product carousel today – most of the products I used will not be available until September 4.  In the meantime, you can use any of your papers and stamps with this layout – think birthdays, cakes, cupcakes, balloons, animals, flowers…whatever!!

Have a great day!

Rooted in Nature

This is the card I designed for my church’s Card Ministry this month.  It uses the set “Rooted in Nature”, and we made forty of them quite easily last night.  The leaves are Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie, but these leaves are pretty in any colors – from shades of green through all the fall colors!

There are a lot of great natural elements in this set, and I love the greetings, too!

Thank you for checking out my card today – I am working hard to bring you new content regularly!  If you can help me by shopping in my online store, I would so appreciate it!  Your support allows me to bring you fresh ideas for free on my site.

Spend $35 or more with this month’s Host Code, and I will send you a pack of Copper Dotted Treat Bags and a homemade card as a thank you.  Orders over $50 are also eligible for a Buckeye Point in my Loyalty Rewards Program. I appreciate your orders!

Harvest Hellos Sneak Peek

“Harvest Hellos” was at the top of my Holiday Catalog shopping list!  It makes perfect apples and pumpkins for fall, and the cutting is done with a punch – yay!!  I stamped my apples, and I added color to them with sponge daubers before punching them out.  I did mask off the white part of the apple slice, but other than that, I didn’t worry about staying in the lines.

I used the largest Stitched Nested Label die, scored at 1″, to make the Crumb Cake flap on my card.  The Pretty Peacock card base measures 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.  The designer paper pieces are from the Come To Gather collection in our upcoming catalog.  They measure 3″ x 5 1/4″ and 1″ x 5 1/4″.

Items from the 2019 Holiday Catalog will be available starting September 4!  If you would like a copy of the catalog, please email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com.

Have a great weekend!

Monster Bash

If you missed me on Facebook Live last night, you may not be aware that I am now doing my Wednesday Night Lives from the Buckeye Inklings Stampers Group.  Please click here and join this group if you would like to get facebook notifications and updates from me.

Sharing within this group will put me in better compliance with facebook business practices, and joining will ensure that you see all of my posts (as opposed to how they come through from my business page.)

I chose to make last night’s projects with the Monster Bash suite from our upcoming 2019 Holiday Catalog.  These projects are easily adaptable to any theme or holiday.  They are very similar to tradtional pillow boxes with rounded ends.

Instead of a rounded flaps on each end, this pillow box version has diamond-shaped flaps.  It is made from a 6″ square of designer paper scored at 1 3/8″, 2 3/4″, 4 1/8″ and 5 1/2″.  The video shows directions for scoring and cutting the flaps.

Inspired by Astrid Hofman’s project (click here), I also made a standing version of this favor.

It is also made from a 6″ square of designer paper, scored at 1 3/8″, 2 3/4″, 4 1/8″ and 5 1/2″.   One end is made into a box bottom, and one end has the diamond-shaped flaps.

This post is meant to supplement the Facebook Live video which shows the complete construction of these favors (click here).

***********************************

Our upcoming holdiay catalog also includes these fun pre-cut, pre-scored Coffin Treat Boxes.  I added a simple tag from the Monster Bash suite of products.  The pieces to make the coffin come as shown below.

These go together easily with just a little folding and adhesive, leaving more time for the fun part – decorating!

2019 Holiday Catalog

I’ve been preoccupied in the past few weeks with my daughter’s surgery, vacation and college move-ins, but I am happy to report that the dust has settled here and I am back to work!  I couldn’t be more excited to start creating with the beautiful products I received in my Holiday Catalog preorder this week!

I also received catalogs for you – and they are on their way to my long-distance customers.  If you have ordered from me in 2019, you will automatically get one. If you have not ordered recently (or ever) but would like one, please email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com. I am happy to send a catalog to anyone who is interested!

As always, to my local customers, please let me know if you would like to stop by to pick up a catalog – or let me know if you would like me to put one in the mail for you.

The sales period for the 2019 Holiday Catalog starts September 4.  However, read about our Starter Kit special below if you would like to start ordering holiday products now.

Our Starter Kit includes more product value through the end of August AND you can choose items from the 2019 Holiday Catalog.  The Starter Kit allows your choice of $155 in product for $99, and shipping is included.  You will also get a coupon for $10 your first order as a Demonstrator, and all orders placed as a Demo are discounted at least 20%.

The question I get most often when folks are considering the Starter Kit is “What if I don’t want to sell?”  The answer – you don’t have to sell.  In fact, you are not obligated to purchase anything beyond the Starter Kit.  Most of the folks on my team become Demos in order to purchase for themselves at a discount.

If you are interested, please contact me at stampyourworld@gmail.com, and we can set up a call to answer all your questions.  It’s a really great deal for any stamping enthusiast, and I would love for you to take advantage of it!

Come Sail Away Memories & More Cards

The Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack includes some great laser-cut pieces that fit our Memories & More Card Bases.  Together, they make easy cards that look really special.  And of course the cards coordinate perfectly with everything else in the suite, so you can use your stamps and dies right along with them!

Each of these cards uses one of the 4″ x 6″ laser-cut cards from the card pack.  The lighthouse is mounted over a 4″ x 6″ Night of Navy mat.  The ship wheels are mounted over a printed 4″ x 6″ card from the card pack.

The card pack also includes stickers – the greeting here is from the card pack, and I used the stamps and dies for the lighthouse and anchor.

The card pack is a great value at $11.00, and it can be used for cardmaking (with the Memories & More Card Bases or with cardstock) or scrapbooking.

Come Sail Away Memories and More Card Pack

*50 total double-sided cards (2 each of 25 designs) in 3″ x 4″ (7.6 x 10.2 cm) and 4″ x 6″ (10.2 x 15.2 cm) sizes
* 6 4″ x 6″ (10.2 x 15.2 cm) single-sided laser-cut specialty cards
* 4 sticker sheets

Anniversary Couple

I made these characters from “On To Adventure” to look like my parents, who are celebrating their 56th anniversary this week.  This is such a fun stamp set – especially if you like to color!  I used my Stampin’ Blends here.  The greeting is from “Itty Bitty Greetings”.

Piece of Cake

“Piece of Cake” is true to its name.  It is easy to create and decorate layer cakes with this stamp set and its coordinating Cake Builder Punch.

I used the colors from the Dinoroar designer paper as my inspiration here, and I pieced together a cake with an extra layer.  There are so many options in this set (see below), and the punch cuts out the pedestal cake stand too!

Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards

The Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards make a “wow” card without the “wow” effort!  The intricate laser-cut lace is beautiful layered over any color cardstock.  I simply cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Seaside Spray and attached it to the underside of the lace to create this card front.  The stamps are from “Pocketful of Happiness”.

I made a quick set of birthday cards with this layout.  The cards come with pretty scalloped envelopes and a printed Petal Pink and gold tin for storage or gift-giving.
