Look Who’s Turning 21!!

We had a lot to celebrate in our house this weekend, with Easter yesterday and a 21st birthday today!  You know how it is with kids – every time you blink, a milestone is coming and going.  Unbelievable how time flies!

Memories & More Card Packs

My Facebook Live last night was all about using Memories & More Card Packs to make cards.  You can use the pre-cut and scored Memories & More card bases and envelopes for the quickest and easiest results.  The Whisper White bases shown above are from Item 148041 Large Whisper White Cards and Envelopes.  The printed cards are from Item 146863 Big Plans Memories & More Card Pack.

The Pineapple Punch card base shown above was cut to match the white bases.  It measures 6 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.  The 4″ x 6″ cards from the card packs fit these cards perfectly.

I love to use cards from the Card Pack on the inside of the cards as well.

Here’s a look at the card bases from Item 148040 Small Whisper White Cards and envelopes.  These fit the 3″ x 4″ cards from the card pack.  I cut the striped card in half lengthwise to make a pocket on the inside of my card.

The cards from the card packs also make a great addition to our standard sized cards.  I made a collection of cards on Gray Granite bases and boxed them up for a gift.

The simplest of my cards uses two of the smaller cards from the card pack and a sticker strip…

…with one of the large cards, cut to a 5 1/4″ length, on the inside.

I punched circles and used stickers from the card pack on this card…

…and matted a piece of Whisper White on a 5 1/4″ long card on the inside.

I cut one of the large cards to a 5 1/2″ length for this card, and I added two 1 1/4″ strips from small cards.  I like to pop the stickers up on dimensionals, as I have here.  Don’t forget to powder the back of the stickers with your embossing buddy so that they won’t get pressed and stuck to everything!

The large card on this sample was also cut to a 5 1/2″ length, and I used a stitched oval to cut an image from a small card.

I recommend picking a card pack in colors you love – you may already have trims to go with them.  Or, consider a pack of embellishments or ribbon to match.  With the cards in this pack, I used Petal Pink and Silver Twine, White and Silver Twine, Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon, Basic Adhesive Sequins, Rhinestones, Silver Foil, and Silver Metallic Thread.

Even the littlest of leftover strips of card make a great addition to the inserts!

The large card on this card front was cut to 5 1/4″, and I used a small card for the focal point.  It’s a fun and creative process to create all of these cards, and it is so easy because everything coordinates!

Here’s another way to create a spot for a personal message on the inside.

We also made this fun fold with the Big Plans Memories & More Card Pack last night.  The base is Gray Granite, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, and it is matted with a large card cut to a 5 1/4″ length.

The focal point is a z-fold that opens as shown above.  Three of the smaller cards fit on this strip.  The Gray Granite measures 4 1/4″ x 9 3/4″, scored at 3 1/4″ and 6 1/2″.

You can find the Memories & More products on pages 194-196 of the Annual Catalog.  The Small and Large Whisper White Memories & More Cards and Envelopes are on the retiring list because they will be packaged in an assorted size pack in the new Annual Catalog.  All of the Memories & More Card Packs are still available – Big Plans may say “backordered” in the store, but a new supply is coming!

Thank you for checking out my projects!  I would love to keep bringing you ideas for free on my site, but I need your help!  Please click here to shop, or use the carousel below to be directed to an item used on today’s projects.

April 2019 OnStage Gift

Welcome to the Trip Achievers Blog Hop for April!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog (Chris Slogar) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the projects.

This past weekend, Demonstrators got to see the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog at our OnStage Convention.  There is so much to look forward to in this catalog – great new colors, great new bundles, and great new products!!  This blog hop showcases what we saw and what we received.

Since I just got home and haven’t had time to create with the new product, I want to share a project that I made as a gift for teammates who attended OnStage.  It is a note pad portfolio, made from one of our recruit folders.

There is a piece that wraps to the front of the portfolio to hold it closed with a magnet.  Below, it is shown open.

There is a mini memo pad and pen as well as a Post-It note pad and pocket on the inside.

The pocket is made from half of a medium envelope.  There is a small tab to hold it closed with Velcro.

New Demonstrators receive recruit folders in their Starter Kit, and these folders are also available as a supply item to Demonstrators.  You could also use any other folder, cut and folded this way, but I love the colors and style of these logo products.  Check out the video below for complete instructions.  If you are receiving this post in an email, please click here for the video.

Thank you fort aking part in our blog hop!  Please use the list below to move to the next blog.

OnStage Make-n-Takes

I have a bit of catching up to do here!  I attended OnStage in Atlantic City over the weekend, and of course, the highlight was getting to see and use products from the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog!  This catalog is gorgeous!!

I will send current customers a copy of this catalog as soon as I can get them in May.  If you do not have a Demonstrator, and you would like to receive a copy, please email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com.  I would be happy to send it to you!

One of my favorite suites is showcased on the cover – the Come Sail Away Suite.  We did use this suite in our make-n-takes at OnStage to make this great notecard…

The stamp set is called “Sailing Home” and the Smooth Sailing dies coordinate.  I am happy to see this masculine set and especially the designer papers in the suite.  The papers incorporate blues, greens and browns, and there are basic patterns like stripes in addition to the nautical patterns.

This sample is from the Bird Ballad Suite.  This suite also offers some great papers, and the stamped images are great for coloring.  We used Stampin’ Blends to color the birds.

This one is from the Follow Your Art Suite – again, yummy papers and colors, and good coloring opportunities!  Again, we used Stampin’ Blends.

The Perennial Essence Suite offers a great punch to create flowers as we did on this make-n-take.  This suite also includes colored vellum 🙂

We CASEd the Perennial Essence make-n-take with products from our current Annual Catalog in our team meeting last night.  We didn’t have that beautiful new Perennial Essence designer paper or the floral centers, but the project turned out well with current product!

We also made this card from the May 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit at OnStage.  The kit was designed by Shelli, and it is called “Hugs from Shelli”.  Check out the video below for more details, and sign up here by May 10 if you would like to make sure to receive this kit.  If you are receiving this post in an email, please click here for the video.

I also wanted to share my swap card from OnStage.  Swapping is always a big part of our Stampin’ Up! events.

If you think this looks familiar, you are right!  I posted the same card before with a different greeting, but this time I used a greeting from “Abstract Impressions” along with the Pretty Label Punch bundle.

As you can see, lots of good things are coming!  This also means there is a retirement list to make way for all of the new product.  Check out yesterday’s post for the retirement information, and shop early for best selection!

Stop back later to see the gift I made for my teammates who attended OnStage – the project will be part of a blog hop scheduled for later today.

Retiring List

I have two lists of retiring products for you – the first is for the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog; the second is for the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  Please keep in mind that stamp sets are guaranteed available through May 24, but all other products are only available while supplies last!  Also, remember that stamp sets and framelits/punches that are currently bundled will not be available as a discounted bundle if they are carrying over.

Pinched End Favors

We made favors like this in last week’s Facebook Live, and I promised to follow up with a video with some more examples.  This one is the same size as the “Fable Friends” version from last week (click here to see previous version).  These were sized to hold a flat Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg or Hershey’s Marshmallow Egg.

I used designer paper from the Share What You Love collection, and stamps from “Bloom by Bloom”.  The designer paper measures 6″ x 7 1/2″.  It is scored along the 7 1/2″ side at 2 1/2″, 3 1/2″, 6″ and 7″.  It is scored along the 6″ side at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 4 1/2″ and 5 1/4″.

Check out the video below for complete instructions.  If you are receiving this post in an email, click here for the video.

I also show how to make this 3/4″ thick version in the video.  It is made from a 6″ square of Gingham Gala designer paper, scored on one side at 2″, 2 3/4″, 4 3/4″ and 5 1/2″.  It is scored in the other direction at 1/2″, 1″, 5″, and 5 1/2″.

Finally, I show how to make this 1″ thick version in the video.  It is also made from a 6″ square of Gingham Gala designer paper, scored on one side at 1 3/4″, 2 3/4″, 4 1/2″ and 5 1/2″.  It is scored in the other direction at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 4 1/2″ and 5 1/4″.

As you can see, you can modify the size of this favor quite easily.  The first favor is planned around the size of the contents.  The next two examples are planned to use a 6″ square of designer paper.  The point of the video is to show the method used to make this shape of favor.  Once you know the method, you can plan different sizes.

Current Favorites

This card uses a few things from the Occasions Catalog that seem to be out on my work table constantly – the stitched rectangle framelits, “Bloom by Bloom” stamp set and “Well Said” stamp set.  Even though these are products I am using over and over, I tried to change up the look by using Subtles instead of my typical Brights 🙂

Thanks so much for checking out my card.  If you need any of our fabulous products, please click here to shop, or use the carousel below to be directed to an item used today.

Thankful Thoughts

This big greeting from “Thankful Thoughts” is a great stamp to ink with a multi-color pad.  I used my Spectrum pad with colors Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Blueberry Bushel and Gorgeous Grape.  The little flower stamp is from “Bloom by Bloom”, and it was inked only in the Blueberry Bushel/Gorgeous Grape area of the pad.

The fun color combo introduced on the greeting itself makes this simple card much more interesting.  Then with just a few embellishments – enamel dots and a bow – it was done.

Thanks so much for checking out my card.  If you need any of our fabulous products, please click here to shop, or use the carousel below to be directed to an item used today.

Easter Treat

I have to share this CASEd project because it is my favorite of all of the things I have been making lately!  It is an Easter treat pouch made with Happiness Blooms designer paper.  I can’t take credit for the pouch – I CASEd a Christmas project by Darby Whittier to make it.

I love how square and boxy this pouch is!  Ready to see what’s in it?

Isn’t that fun?  It is made to fit an individual mug cake, but of course you can come up with other treats, too.  I followed Darby’s directions exactly for the pouch – I simply changed the theme.  Please click here for her Christmas version and instructions.  My directions showing the bunny version are in the video below.  If you are receiving this post in an email, please click here for the video.

The greeting is from the recently retired “Hello Cupcake” stamp set.  This set is a “keeper” for its pretty and festive greetings!  At the time of this post, the Best Bunny bundle is unavailable, but it will be back in stock soon.  If you are interested, you can ask to be notified when it is available.  Go to the item listing in the online store to request an email.

Thanks so much for checking out my project!  I would love to keep bringing you ideas for free on my site, but I need your help!  Please click here to shop, or use the carousel below to be directed to an item used on today’s projects.
