New Sale-a-bration Items Coming This Week!

I have a sneak peek of two of the new Sale-a-bration freebies that will be available starting February 15.  The Country Floral embossing folder used on these cards will be free with a $50 purchase.  The designer paper from the Painted Seasons collection will be bundled with a coordinating stamp set, and the bundle will be free with a $100 purchase.

The designer paper collection covers all seasons.  The package includes three 12″ x 12″ sheets of each pattern.  It is two-sided.  The opposite sides are small prints – two are shown on my card samples.

We made this version in our team meeting this weekend.  Demonstrators enjoy the nice perk of being able to order new products early.

The colors used here are Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo and Call Me Clover. You can also see a new punch shape here – the Whisper White greeting piece is punched with the Story Label Punch that will be available in March.

Here is a closer look at the Poppy Parade version with highlights of Grapefruit Grove.  Each of the designer paper strips is 1 1/2″ wide.  They are punched from 4″ and 5″ strips with the Triple Banner Bunch.

Birthday Cheer

These big images from “Birthday Cheer” are fun to color!  They remind me of coloring books from my childhood rather than detailed adult coloring images.  I love the bold look, which is given quite a boost here by the super-bright colors.  I used Dark Pineapple Punch, Light Call Me Clover, Dark and Light Poppy Parade, and Light Navy Blue Blends to color these images.  The background paper is from the Happiness Blooms Suite.

Floral Romance Vellum

Have you seen the beautiful vellum prints in the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Paper Collection?  They are so pretty that little else is needed to make a great card.  This paper was the subject of last night’s Facebook Live.

The floral vellum measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/4″, and it is stamped with Stazon ink.  The greeting is from “Dandelion Wishes”.

I embossed a 2″ x 4 1/4″ Fresh Fig piece with the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  After embossing, I trimmed the scallop edge with my paper snips.  These pieces are mounted on a Sahara Sand card base – the vellum is only attached at the top, where the adhesive is hidden by the embossed piece.

The Gray Granite card base is actually made of two pieces here.  The front piece measures 4 3/16″ x 5 1/2″.  The vellum measures 4″ x 5 1/2″, and it is attached at its left edge to the Gray Granite.  The Petal Pink die cut piece was made with the large thinlit from the Springtime Impressions collection.  It is also attached to the card front at the left edge.

The other base piece measures 5 1/2″ x 5″, scored at 4 1/4″.  It makes up the back of the card base, and a 3/4″ flap of the front.  The built up vellum and die cut piece attaches to the underside of this flap.  The greeting is from “Forever Lovely”.

This vellum on this card was cut with the largest of the stitched rectangle framelits.  It is attached to the Pear Pizzazz card base at the center of the card.  There is a sneak peek of the Story Label Punch here – it will be available March 1.  The greeting is from “Lasting Lily”.

The vellum on this card was also cut with the largest of the stitched rectangle framelits.  I did cut a slightly smaller card base for this card.  The Petal Pink measures 5 3/8″ x 8″, scored at 4″, making it just barely larger than the vellum piece.  The greeting is from “Dandelion Wishes” and the hearts are from “Meant To Be”.

Happy Birthday Wishes

I think the little punched flowers on this card steal the show.  They are bright and cheerful against the navy background.  I couldn’t get enough of them, so I strung my extras up on the navy twine.  To make them with punched centers, punch the hole in your scrap paper first, and then punch the flower around the hole.

The designer paper and punches come from the Happiness Blooms suite, and the greeting is from the Well Said bundle.

Hand Delivered

“Hand Delivered” is a Host stamp set from the Annual Catalog, available for purchase with Stampin’ Rewards.  Stampin’ Rewards are earned on orders of $150 or more…but you don’t have to spend the entire $150 yourself!  If you have a friend or two who would like to order with you, I can group the orders to earn rewards.  Each friend can receive their order at their own address.

Stampin’ Rewards accumulate quicker during Sale-a-bration.  You will earn the standard amount and an extra $25 in product for orders over $250.  These rewards accumulate in addition to the Sale-a-bration exclusive free items, and they can be spent on any catalog items.

Home to Roost

This distinguished rooster is from “Home to Roost”, one of the sets that you can choose for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration.  I CASEd the color combination here from a card I saw on Pinterest – I’m afraid it was a picture of a swap with no credit given, so I don’t know who to credit.

I made it two ways, each with the bright Poppy Parade/Bermuda Bay combination.  I think these bright colors are so sharp with the black gingham from the Botanical Butterfly designer paper collection, another of the “free with $50” product choices in Sale-a-bration.

I used one of my favorite fun fold layouts.  The base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, and the folding layer measures 5 1/4″ x 6 3/4″, scored at 4″.  The Whisper White insert piece measures 3 3/4″ x 5″, and the designer paper measures 2 1/2″ x 5″.

Valentine Treats

Last night’s Facebook Live was about packaging.  I have shown our Kraft Pillow Boxes before – they are a great deal at 10/$5, and they are fun and easy to decorate.  Typically, they are closed up as in the picture below, but you can make them smaller or larger as shown above.

On the left, I left the pillow box open at the top, and I cut off one of the curved flaps on the open end.  On the right, I cut the pillow box in half before assembling the end flaps.  Each is decorated with hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits collection and All My Love designer paper.  The cup on the left is from “Coffee Cafe” and the greeting on the right is from this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit.

Here is an example of the pillow box closed at both ends – this would also be cute made as a Valentine gift.  The band is 2″ x 8″, scored at 4″ and punched at each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

 

Our Mini Pizza Boxes are also great for treats.  They are about 3 1/2″ square and 1″ deep.  I decorated this one with a 3 1/4″ square of basic gray and a 3″ square of designer paper.  The stamps are from “Hey Love” and the heart is made with one of the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.

Finally, these Baker Boxes were carried over from the Holiday Catalog.  They are bigger than the pizza boxes at about 4 1/4″ square and 2 1/8″ high.  The large heart from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits collection fits over the box’s window nicely.

Meant to Be and Forever Lovely

Most of the shapes and stamps here are from the Meant to Be bundle, but the designer paper, ribbon and second greeting (inside card) are from the All My Love Suite.  The two bundles coordinate beautifully!

This is a really simple layout, and a great way to stretch your designer paper.  The card base is Lovely Lipstick, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.  The folding piece is Thick Whisper White, 5 1/4″ x 7″, scored at 3″.  The designer paper strip is 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″.

You can make this in any theme.  You may recognize it from a birthday card I showed in December (below).

Hidden Message Card

This fun fold really lives up to that classification.  It is more than fun – it is fascinating!  It looks like a simple gate fold from the front.

When you open it, you find that Whisper White strips have been woven into the inner panel to create a checkerboard effect.

When folded up at the middle…

…the woven strips can be pulled open to show a different set of images.

Double Sliders

These are my double slider projects from last night’s Facebook Live.  The gorilla double slider holds a Hershey bar, and the cake double slider is a flat card.

Double sliders are interactive cards.  In the case of the gorilla card, a Hershey bar slides out of the top while a note card slides out of the bottom.

Dimensions are as follows:

Lovely Lipstick 6 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 2 1/2″, 2 3/4″, 5 3/8″, 5 5/8″ and 8 1/4″

Flirty Flamingo 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″

Whisper White 2″ x 4 1/4″

Designer Paper 2 3/8″ x 6″

The flat version of this card is made the same way.

 

Each of the Gorgeous Grape bases measures 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″.  The designer paper measures 2 1/2″ x 5″.

Two matted notecards slide from the card on the left – each is a 2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Whisper White matted on a 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Coastal Cabana.

The slider pieces on the card on the right are longer, to accommodate a stitched rectangle and a gift card.  Each of those Coastal Cabana pieces measure 2 1/2″ x 4″.
