Monochromatic Butterflies

The designer paper here is from the Sale-a-bration exclusive collection, Botanical Butterfly.  I colored one of the black and white sides with my Light Highland Heather and Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends.  I used a 2″ strip of my colored designer paper and added a greeting from “Amazing Life”.  The scalloped strip has a stictched edge – it is from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.

I kept this one simple too, with just a greeting from “Butterfly Gala”.

Have a great day!

Be Mine Stitched Framelits

The Be Mine Stitched Framelits are a great addition to our collections – especially if you love stitched edges.  There are 16 dies in this collection, and many of them have stitched edges.  The greeting here is cut with a framelit from another of our stitched collections, the Stitched Labels framelits.

The vellum paper used on the heart and the embellishments are from our Floral Romance Suite, and the greeting is from “Well Said”.

Wonderful Romance

I used the stamps and framelits from the Wonderful Romance Bundle with a greeting from the Made to Bloom Kit here.  Did you notice that the leaf framelits in this bundle also add texture to the leaves (the Mossy Meadow leaves in this sample)?  I must confess that I didn’t realize this until I cut my first set of leaves.  What a pleasant surprise!

I colored the main spray of flowers and leaves with my Stampin’ Blends, using both shades of Mossy Meadow, Soft Sea Foam and Rich Razzleberry.

Fun Folds from Facebook Live

I showed two different fun folds last night on Facebook Live – starting with this Quarter Fold that uses designer paper from the How Sweet It Is collection along with the Piece of Cake stamp set/punch bundle.  The front flaps open and close like a box top.

There are two half sheets of cardstock that make up the card base.  The Gorgeous Grape measures 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″.  The Highland Heather measures 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 2 3/4″ x 8 1/4″.  Remember to add an additional score line, just outside of each score line, so that each fold clears the opposite base piece and accommodates the thickness of the card.

The designer paper pieces are as follows:

Pool Party stripe 1 7/8″ x 2 5/8″

Highland Heather confetti  2″ x 2 1/2″

I completed this card with a minimum of decorations – a greeting and a cake – but the designer paper and the folds make it look more complicated.

You can get more complicated, and treat the front of the card like a sampler, decorating each panel as I have done below.

This card also uses designer paper from the How Sweet It Is collection.  The stamp set is “Hey Love”, and I have also used the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.

Aren’t these little critters from “Hey Love” adorable?!

My second fun fold was the pieced-together card shown below – I am not sure what to call it!

A 3/4″ strip of the card front is essentially cut away to reveal part of the greeting on the inside of the card.

The Powder Pink pieces measure 5 1/2″ x 6″, scored at 4 1/4″, and 5 1/2″ x 1 3/4″.  The designer paper pieces from the Needlepoint Nook collection each measure 1 5/8″ x 5 3/8″.

There is more to the greeting on the inside – the Well Said bundle really offers a lot of possibilities for this card!

This would also make a fabulous “Get Well” card.  You can see all of the greeting options in this bundle below.  If you are interested in this bundle, make sure to check out my Class To Go offer for this month.  It is free with the purchase of the Well Said Bundle and Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack.

My favorite part of this card is the oval piece.  I cut the Powder Pink stitched oval after attaching the stems, so the stems have a stitched edge too.  I know, it’s a little thing, but it made me happy 🙂 The little bird is awfully sweet, too!

Thanks so much for checking out my projects today – this post is meant to supplement last night’s Facebook Live.  Click here if you would like to see the video from last night.

Welcome to the Team!

This picture represents so much that is wonderful about Sale-a-bration.  Perhaps most obvious is the exclusive Sale-a-bration product – the Botanical Butterfly designer paper and the Organdy Ribbon.  You can choose either of these product for free with a $50 product order.

The reason for this card is more fabulous than the product – I am making these for new Demonstrators on my team.  I am thrilled that they are taking advantage of the Sale-a-bration Starter Kit deal (more on that below) and that they will receive a discount on their future purchases!  That’s two separate benefits – a super deal now, and discounts in the future!!

Anyone who has a big wish list should take advantage of the Starter Kit Deal.  You can choose up to $175 worth of the product of your choice for only $99 + tax (shipping is included).  If you would like to add our beautiful Craft & Carry Tote, pay just $129 + tax.  There is no obligation to purchase anything beyond the Starter Kit, but future orders are at least 20% off.

If you would like to discuss this, please contact me via email at stampyourworld@gmail.com, and we can set up a call.  If you know you want to join, click here to order your Starter Kit.  This deal is for anyone – you do not have to sell!

In case you are here for the card, a little more detail…

The base is a gate fold with a seam that is covered by the extra length of designer paper you can see at left in the above picture.  You may recognize it as one of my favorite fun folds – I have made it a lot recently!  Click here for dimensions.

I also want to point out all of the stamps I have used from “Stamping Your Way To The Top” – a stamp set that is available to Demonstrators.  I received this set at OnStage in November, and I am very happy to be putting it to good use!

If you have ever thought about joining Stampin’ Up!, or even if you would just like to take advantage of the Starter Kit, now is a great time!!  Please don’t hesitate to contact me at stampyourworld@gmail.com or click here to join now.  I am happy to answer any questions you may have about being a Demonstrator.

Piece of Cake

The All My Love designer papers make another great background for the cakes from “Piece of Cake”.  I made these two cards with the floral cakes and colors that coordinate.

I colored the cakes with my Stampin’ Blends – there are so many fun images to color in this set!  There is also a punch that coordinates with this set to cut out the cake and pedestal.

Partial Die Cutting

I showed three cards on Facebook Live last night using the technique of partial die cutting.  On this card, I started with a Whisper White stitched rectangle (the second largest), and I cut the left side with part of my Springtime Impressions Thinlit.

You can achieve a partial cut by covering only part of the die with your acrylic plate.  This leaves partially cut openings where the die cut ends.  You can use a straightedge and exacto knife along this border – cut along the straightedge to finish the edges of the partially cut openings.

I used a pattern from the All My Love designer paper collection along with stamps from “Forever Lovely” to finish this card.

Starting with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Whisper White, the die cut for this card was partially cut from the top and then partially cut from the bottom in order to leave an intact strip through the center.  The strip was then created by cutting with the straightedge and exacto knife.

The designer paper on this card is from the Needlepoint Nook collection, and the stamp is from “Incredible Like You”.

On this sample, I cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Lovely Lipstick with letters and a heart die from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.  In this case, the acrylic plate was placed so that the bottom of each die was not cut.  I then placed the straightedge to connect the bottom of the letters and heart, and I used the exacto to cut between them.

Please refer to my Facebook Live video for more details and a demonstration of this technique.  If you are not a Facebook member, click here for the video.

One More from Hey Love

This was one of the make-n-takes at our team meeting this weekend.  The otter is my favorite animal in the “Hey Love” stamp set.  He fits perfectly on one of the stitched rectangles from our new collection of 13 stitched rectangles.  The stitched heart is new too.

The card front here is cut short to reveal the greeting along the bottom of the insert.

The Lovely Lipstick card base is 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 5 1/2″.  The designer paper from the All My Love collection measures 2 3/4″ x 4″.  The Whisper White insert measures 4″ x 5 1/4″.

The hearts here are the clear Heart Epoxy Droplets that come in three sizes.  I simply colored them with my Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend.

Hey Love

This gorilla is from the cutest set in the Occasions Catalog, “Hey Love”.  Check out all of the images below – each one is adorable!

We are using this set on a make-n-take in my team meeting tomorrow – I will show you that card Monday.

Do you recognize this layout?  I posted a similar card last month (see picture below).  It’s a great layout for showing off designer paper, without using a lot of designer paper!  The card base measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.  The Thick Whisper White is the folding layer.  It measures 5 1/4″ x 7″, scored at 3″.  The designer paper strip measures 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″.

If you need any of our awesome products, I would very much appreciate your order.  Use the carousel below to be directed to a product used in today’s project, or click here for the online store.  Place an order over $35 with this month’s Hostess Code and you will receive a package of Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins and a handmade card from me as a thank you!  Orders over $50 are also eligible for a free Sale-a-bration item and a Buckeye Point in my Loyalty Rewards Program.
