We all need little gift ideas, especially at this time of year. I made a set of six monogrammed note cards to fill this box, and it didn’t take a lot of time. You could easily make up multiple sets for gifts.
Eastern Elegance designer series paper is the inspiration for this set. The chalk talk frame and stamps from Happy Day coordinate well with this paper.
The card bases are our 3 1/2″ x 5″ note cards. A pack of 20 with envelopes is $5.95. And a great thing about them…since they are smaller than the typical 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card size, the box can be made from an 8 1/2″ square. I used the envelope punch board to make the box, with punches and scores at 3 1/8″ and 4 3/8″ on opposite sides. Then punch and score the two other sides accordingly. I previously described this method here. With these dimensions, the box is a little over 3/4″ thick.
