I think color challenges are harder than sketch challenges.  I rarely limit myself to three colors, and the proposed colors are usually come in combinations that I wouldn’t choose.  Take this week for example 🙂

I think these colors worked out ok in my frog card, though.  The frog is made from the Playful Pals bundle.

I used the Shine On Specialty Designer Paper for my background.  The brown in these patterns is a little darker than Crumb Cake, almost like Soft Suede, but regardless, a neutral.  The designs are bright and quirky, and they stand out nicely.

This is the first time I have used this greeting from the set “And Many More”.  There are many greetings in that set that would work on this card, but couldn’t resist this one.  I am quite sure this is the first time I have used it.

The leaves are cut from the Botanical Builder framelits.  I sprayed them with water and crumpled them, and then pulled off a layer of the cardstock to make them look leathery.  The big flower is made up of two layers – Watermelon Wonder and Botanical Vellum – cut with one of the Floral Framelits.

Thanks for checking out my challenge card!  Please visit Create with Connie and Mary to see the cards created by my talented teammates.  The entries will post there, too, with links to each designer’s website.  Hope you’ll spend some time visiting those sites, and play along with our challenge!
