I took my inspiration for these cards from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper. I normally start with a stamp set or a bundle, but in the case, the paper is the star of the show.
It was fun to consider what stamp would suit the paper – in this case, the big bold greeting from “You’re Delightful” fits the open space perfectly. I stamped it with Archival Black to get really great coverage on the designer paper. The rosebud is fussy-cut from the portion of the sheet that was cut away to make this card.
I used the same greeting on a 2″ strip of vellum for this card.
This greeting is from “Happy Birthday Gorgeous”, punched with the Pretty Label punch and layered over a scalloped oval.
So often, the designer paper is a background element. It’s always a nice change of pace to highlight the paper – we have so many pretty papers for this!
