Alaska Achievers Blog Hop – March

Welcome to the Alaska Achievers Blog Hop for March!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog (Chris Slogar) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the projects.

My project this month uses one of my top picks from the 2018 Occasions Catalog – Flying Home.

This sweet little Momma bird tending her chicks is my favorite image from the set – it’s so heartwarming and also so fitting as we head into Spring.  I colored the image with Stampin’ Blends.  To add more interest, I made the card into a fun fold.

The base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Crumb Cake, scored at 1 1/2″ and 7″.  I used the Circle Tab punch piece as a finger-grip to use to open the card.  The matted Whisper White (4″ x 4 1/2″) and designer paper piece (3 7/8″ x 4 3/8″) is attached to the card front with dimensionals, in order to make the tab piece easier to grab.

The designer paper is from the Tutti Frutti collection.  I have also added a Whisper White mat with a 3/8″ strip of coordinating designer paper to the inside of the card.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop today!  Remember that currently you are at my blog – Chris Slogar – so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next, and enjoy!
