Hinged Shaker Panel Card

I made a shaker panel to use as a card front for this bright and cheery birthday card.  There are five Pineapple Punch frames, each cut by nesting the 3 5/8″ and 4 3/8″ long Stitched Rectangle Framelits.  The frames are stacked and adhered together, and there is a Window Sheet sandwiched between the top two.  The greeting is mounted to the Window Sheet.

The back of the shaker panel is cut from designer paper with the 4″ long Rectangle Stitched Framelit, and this piece is adhered over the hinge pieces (see below) after the sequins are added.

The entire shaker panel is attached to the card back with two 3/8″ strips of Window Sheet – these are the hinges mentioned above.  A 4″ long Whisper White Stitched Rectangle hides most of the hinge pieces and serves as the inside panel of the card.

Stacking the rectangle frames gives enough depth for a shaker.

This card uses a handful of great retiring products – the Celebrate You Thinlits, the “Lift Me Up” stamp set and coordinating Up & Away Framelits, and a Spectrum Uninked Pad – did you notice that the hot air balloon is inked with multiple colors?

I inked the balloon in the portion of my Spectrum Pad that is Bermuda Bay, Blueberry Bushel and Gorgeous Grape.  These pads are a fun change of pace!
