Designer Paper Gift Card Holders

I made a bunch of gift card holders on Facebook Live last night with designer paper bases. Our designer paper is perfect for this because it is thick and two-sided.

These three use the same multi-fold layout.

The simplest opens like a tri-fold card. I used paper from the Christmastime Is Here collection with “Memories of Home” stamps. The designer paper base measures 5 1/2″ x 12″, scored at 3″, 7″, and 10″. The Whisper White on the front panel measures 3″ x 4 1/2″ and the Poppy Parade mat measures 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″.

The 2″ section creates a pocket for a gift card (at right side of picture). I punched a decorative edge on the pocket with the Pretty Label Punch.

Neither of the side panels completely cover the middle section of the base – they overlap over it. The middle section is 4″ wide, and it carries the greeting. The Whisper White measures 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″, and the Mossy Meadow measures 3 7/8″ x 5 3/8″.

The “Happy Tails” versions are made exactly the same way, except that the layout is turned to the landscape position, and I have added 1 1/2″ belly bands. I used stitched rectangles (approximately 3 1/2″ and 4″ long) on the band.

With either of these orientations, if your paper has a directional pattern to it, plan your cutting and scoring accordingly.

I copied the “Memories of Home” card front from above to make this version, which opens like a regular card and has a slash pocket on the inside.

The designer paper measures 5 1/2″ x 12″, scored at 4″ and 8″. The inner panel is the same as above (Whisper White 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ and Mossy Meadow 3 7/8″ x 5 3/8″). You can fold the pocket from either side.

The smaller versions are multi-fold, with a slash pocket. They are 4″ tall, so you can make three from each sheet of designer paper.

The designer paper measures 4″ x 10 1/2″, scored at 3″, 6″, and 9 1/8″. Again, I would caution you to plan directional patterns carefully!

The Very Vanilla measures 2 3/4″ x 3 5/8″, and the Mossy Meadow measures 2 7/8″ x 3 3/4″. The band measures 1″ x 7″, scored at 1 3/4″ and 5″.

You may recognize this layout from last year. Click here for that post. I love to remake these projects in our new products – they are all so adaptable to any paper and theme!
