Flip Cards

Last night on Facebook Live, I showed how to make two different flip cards using the same technique. I started with this one, made with the Let It Snow Suite. The nested label flip section is cut to the right side of the score line on the front panel.

The Coastal Cabana base measures 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″. The designer paper pieces measure 2″ x 5 1/4″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″.

There are some fun details on the stamped image – Snowfall Accents Puff Paint and Snowflake Sequins.

The version I made with the So Many Stars Bundle uses the same method.

The difference here is that the flip section is cut to the left of the score line on the front panel. When open, the foil star is not visible – in the first case, the snowman image is visible when the card is open.

Since the die cut was made to the left of the star, an extra line of stitching shows to the left. I used an additional star on the inside panel to create the same effect on the right side of the star. And I love the detail of copper heat embossing on copper foil! This tone-on-tone embossing creates a great effect on any of the metallic foils!
