Shopping Bag Card

I showed how to make this card last night on Facebook Live. It uses our beautiful Sweet Gingerbread Bundle and the Santa Express designer paper. If you are interested in this bundle, I am offering it to you in my current class listing at a discount – I will cover shipping and tax from Stampin’ Up! when you purchase it with my class (click here for class details).

The card opens to reveal a tiny shopping bag which can hold a gift card or other flat gift.

I am showing pictures and dimensions here for easy reference, but you may need to see the video for complete instructions. The video is copied below, but please join the Buckeye Inklings Stampers Group on Facebook to get notifications of all of my live videos.

Dimensions are as follows:

  • Shaded Spruce Card Base, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 3 5/8″, 8 7/8″
  • Designer Paper for Card Front 1 7/8″ x 4″, 3 3/8″ x 4″
  • Belly Band 1 1/2″ x 11″
  • Designer Paper for Shopping Bag 4″ x 9 1/4″, scored at 1/2″, 1″, 4 1/2″, 5″, 5 1/2″, 9″ AND 1″, 3 1/2″ in other direction (1″ score at top of bag)

I am showing how to score and trim the shopping bag piece below, using a piece of designer paper from last year (which is lighter and allows an easier view of the markings).

These pictures show the outside (top photo) and inside (bottom photo) of the bag piece when just ready for assembly. Note the locations of the Tear-n-Tape.

Check out the video below for complete instructions, and if you need any of the products to make this project, I would appreciate your business in my online store. Don’t forget that the adorable Sweet Gingerbread bundle is available at a discount with my current class.

Which gingerbread house do you like better – wreath or heart?
