“So Hoppy Together” is fabulous paired with the bright colors and bold designs of the Happiness Blooms Designer Paper Collection.  Both are fun and quirky!  The stamp set will be available for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration, starting January 3.  The designer paper will be available from our 2019 Occasions Catalog, also starting January 3.

Piece of Cake Sneak Peek

I have a healthy new cake addiction after this weekend!  I spent some quality time with my Occasions Catalog Preorder, especially this cake bundle – “Piece of Cake”.  The stamp set has six different two-tier cakes to stamp, and there is a coordinating builder punch for the cake and pedestal cake stand.

I have only used one of the cake types on these three samples.  I will show more types in the future.  Like this one, they are all fun to color.  I used Stampin’ Blends.

These are really simple cards.  Besides the cardstock, each uses a coordinating 1 1/2″ strip of designer paper and some bling.  It would be easy to make a set of these.

Have you noticed the different cake toppers on each?  There are 21 stamps in the set, including a variety of cake-themed greetings.

These don’t even scratch the surface of all of the cakes I colored on Saturday.  I planted myself on the couch with my lap desk and Stampin’ Blends for most of the day.  It was the perfect activity for a rainy day with plenty of college football!

If you are going to use a builder punch to make a lot of duplicates, don’t forget to place your stamps to match the punch openings.  I have been preaching this with the Stamparatus, but it applies to blocks, too.

Simply line up the stamps (with the back of the stamps facing up) in the openings of cardstock that has already been punched.

Then pick up the stamps with your block.  I have sheets of pedestals and cakes stamped this way for coloring, and they will line up perfectly with the punch when I am ready to use them.

Spirited Buckeye Snowman

I love this little guy from “Spirited Snowmen”, and it’s so easy to complete the snowmen with just a few touches of color.  I made two of these cards this week for my favorite Buckeyes.  Thanksgiving weekend gave us a game to be grateful for, and we would love a similar result this weekend!  Go Bucks!

Favors!!

Inspired by all of the seasonal goodies in the aisles of Target, I made three types of favors last night on Facebook Live.  Today I have pictures and dimensions to supplement that presentation.

These wraps hold Ghirardelli snowmen.  I used Under the Mistletoe designer paper and coordinating stamps.  I also used the Candy Cane Season bundle.

This project is a remake of a Ghirardelli bunny favor I have done in the past (click here for that post).  The cardstock strip wrapper measures 2″ x 9 1/2″, scored at 1/2″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″, 3″, 6″ and 6 1/2″.  You can use one of the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits or two punches of a 1″ circle punch to make a hole for the candy.

The side view shows how the strip is folded.  The front of the favor is decorated with a 1 5/8″ x 2 5/8″ piece of designer paper matted on a 1 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of cardstock.

These favors hold a “merci” chocolate.  I used the Festive Farmhouse designer paper along with the Christmas Traditions punch box.

The wrap is similar to the first, and it also starts from a 2″ x 9 1/2″ piece of cardstock.  This one is scored differently, though – at 3 1/4″, 3 3/4″, 7″ and 7 1/2″.  The designer paper for the front measures 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″.

A single 1″ circle is large enough for the candy.

The punched greeting is mounted on a dimensional.  The dimensional is placed at the bottom of the punched greeting so that the decorated flap can slide under the top of the greeting.

My final favor was this teabag/chocolate treat.  The Cherry Cobbler cardstock measures 3 1/2″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/4″ and 3 3/4″.  The Shaded Spruce mat measures 3″ x 3 1/4″, and the designer paper from the All is Bright Collection measures 2 7/8″ x 3 1/8″.

There are two pockets on the inside, made by cutting a designer paper envelope in half.  The designer paper envelope started from a 5 3/4″ square of paper.  It was created on the envelope punch board with the first punch and score at 2 1/2″.

Spirited Snowmen

Besides the cute images, there are two additional great things about “Spirited Snowmen” – it’s a set I will want to use beyond Christmas, and it’s fun to color!

I used my Stampin’ Blends to color this happy skater.  The Blends are such a fabulous coloring tool.  Have you put the Blends on your Christmas Wish List?  Your loved ones may need some help to know what you really want, and these markers are a great gift idea 🙂

The card front is cut short to reveal the greeting on the inner Whisper White mat.  The Garden Green card base measures 4 1/4″ x 9 3/4″, scored at 5 1/2″.

Farmhouse Christmas

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Time is really going to fly now as we head into the Christmas season.  I’ll try to keep Christmas in focus, but you’ll also see plenty of sneak peeks from our upcoming 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs in the coming month.

Today’s card is from the Festive Farmhouse Suite.  Most of the products in this suite are at risk of selling out before the Holiday Catalog sales period ends, so please don’t hesitate if you would like any items from this suite.  Everything about it is so cozy and heartwarming!

Greek Isles Blog Hop

Welcome to the Trip Achievers Blog Hop for November!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog (Chris Slogar) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. This month, we are highlighting products that we received or purchased at our OnStage Convention this month.  I have used a few different items on my project.  The focal point is the beautiful pierced design from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies.

The pierced design on the Lovely Lipstick cardstock is created with a die.  This is a CASE of a card we made at OnStage, but I substituted bright and cheery elements from the Happiness Blooms Suite and a greeting from “Incredible Like You”.  The greeting is stamped on a 1″ strip of Whisper White, and the ends are trimmed with the Everyday Label Punch.

The Happiness Blooms Suite offers a four-pack of punches and enamel dots in five bright colors.  What sweet little bouquets we will be able to create!

Snowflake Showcase Reminder

Don’t forget that the beautiful Snowflake Showcase products are only available in November, and sadly, the White Velvet Sheets are already sold out.  If you would like any of the other items in this suite, please order soon!  The product flyer is shown below.

My card uses the Snowfall Thinlits with a greeting from “Merry Christmas to All” and the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  It’s not obvious in the picture, but I brushed over the texture on the Gray Granite mat with a dauber of Frost White Shimmer Paint to add some extra shine.

The Snowfall Thinlits offer a wide range of snowflake shapes along with the scroll of snowflakes at the bottom of my card.  It is a great set to go beyond the holidays.  There is a year-round stamp set and a holiday stamp set that coordinates with these thinlits.

Candy Cane Season Notepads

I made up a bunch of these notepads this week for my Craft Show.  They are covered notepads with coordinating pens – an old favorite of mine!  I love to see how my favorites look with each year’s new products.  I used the Candy Cane Season Bundle and Santa’s Workshop designer paper this year.
