Guy Greetings

I used “Guy Greetings” here with “High Tide”, but I want to focus on the greeting set today because it is retiring. It’s my go-to set for – as the name implies – guy greetings. I am going to miss this one!

This is a bridge card. The Night of Navy base measures 4 1/4″ x 8″, scored at 1 1/4″, 2 1/2″, 5 1/2″ and 6 3/4″. I have added two 1″ x 4″ strips of designer paper on the two sides, and stamped a 2 3/4″ x 4″ Very Vanilla panel for the inside. I have an additional 2 3/4″ x 4″ Very Vanilla piece on the back of the card for a personal greeting.

The bridge piece on this card is a 1″ strip of Night of Navy, attached to the outermost sections of the base before the designer paper pieces. It is easiest to attach the bridge piece when the card base is folded flat as in the picture below. My bridge piece is just wide enough to provide a base for the stamped images and greeting.

The card folds flat to fit in a Medium Envelope (our standard for the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card). Note that one of the side panels folds over the center panel when flat.

Petal Passion Designer Series Paper

This black and white Petal Passion paper from the Occasions Catalog doesn’t have to remain black and white on your projects. If you love to color, this paper is perfect for that. I spent some time with my Stampin’ Blends to color half of a 12″ x 12″ sheet, and then I made three very easy cards with it.

Stampin’ Blends are currently not available for order, but they will be available again soon. The upcoming 2018-2019 Annual Catalog will offer them in even more colors! However, the Petal Passion designer series paper is retiring, and it is available now while supplies last.

On each of these cards, I matted a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of the designer paper onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic Black mat and onto a coordinating cardstock base. Then I used the Lovely Words Thinlits and Layering Ovals Framelits to create a greeting. So easy!

I posted this card previously, but I wanted to include it again here because it is another very simple card made with a background of colored Petal Passion designer paper.

Share What You Love Fun Fold

We made this card in my Team Meeting this week and also on Facebook Live last night. I am following up here with dimensions and pictures showing the steps to create it. I will not transfer the video here – I think it will be easier to follow this post than to sort through the video for the pertinent info.

Mint Macaron Cardstock

4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

2 3/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″

3″ x 4″

Share What You Love Designer Paper

3″ x 4″ and 2 1/2″ x 4″

Whisper White

2″ x 4″ and 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″

The first step is to attach the 2 3/4″ x 8 1/2″ Mint Macaron Cardstock to the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base piece.

Then attach the larger designer paper piece to this base, overlapping the seam between the two Mint Macaron pieces.

Stamp and attach the smaller Whisper White piece to the “inside”.

Attach the smaller designer paper piece to the front flap. Stamp and mat the card front, catching the doily between the Mint Macaron mat and the stamped Whisper White piece. Attach the matted card front to the front of the card with dimensionals only at left.

This designer paper is absolutely gorgeous – it features a pearl coating over some of the florals. I will show the flip side of these sheets below…

Petal Palette Thank You

With all the talk of retiring items, I am glad to point out that this stamp set and its coordinating framelits will appear in the upcoming 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. However, these items will not be available in a discounted bundle after May 31. Bundled products are only available at a discount during the sales period for the first catalog in which they appear.

The cluster of roses is easy to color in with sponge daubers, and daubers provide nice color variations. I used Powder Pink and Old Olive here.

This one uses Berry Burst and Old Olive.

Magical Day

It was a birthday weekend in my house – my younger daughter turned 20. All of a sudden, the teenage years are behind us! My Julia is still a kid at heart, though, and I knew she would appreciate this unicorn from “Magical Day”.

My favorite thing about the card is the subtle sparkle. There is Wink of Stella on the unicorn’s mane and tail. The Glitter Enamel Dots and Shimmer Ribbon also add to the magic.

True Gentleman Designer Series Paper

It seems to me that we are always short on “guy cards”. Good news…right now we have some really fabulous papers and products available to make guy cards, but they are all retiring in May!

My upline Mindy Gray sent me the card on the right, which uses the stamps from the Truly Tailored set. I CASEd it to make the card on the left with the old time car from the stamp set Guy Greetings. That beautiful plaid paper is from the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper collection.

The papers and the stamp sets are great “guy basics”, so if you are shopping from the Retiring Lists, don’t forget these items! I think the colors and patterns on the paper are especially great to have in your collection.

Mini Pizza Box Suitcase

Here is the project I presented on my first Facebook Live last night. Thank you so much to those of you who watched my video live, or on facebook! I am attaching pictures and a pdf with dimensions here today.

I used the stamp set “Going Far”, which is on the Retiring List, but this project is very adaptable to other themes and colors.

The inner accordion piece pulls out to reveal a greeting and a gift card.

And just a reminder – the Berry Burst version uses the Circle Tab Punch instead of a ribbon loop as the pull tab on the accordion.
