Strawberries

There are four different fruits with coordinating punches in the Fruit Basket Bundle.  I am partial to the strawberries, and I have put together a simple card to highlight them.  Thanks to the punches in the bundle, you can produce fruit pieces very quickly.

I also want to show off a fun project from this weekend – my girls were home for Easter, and we pulled out some retired products to make treats for them to take back to school…

Remember these cute egg cartons from last year’s Occasions Catalog?  I still had a pack of them, so we sprayed them, decorated them, and filled them with candy.  So fun – I am sorry that they are no longer available!

In fact, most of the product used on the egg cartons is retired, but just had to share since they turned out so cute.  The carousel shows products used for the strawberry card.

Have a great Monday!

Petal Passion Designer Paper

I used the Night of Navy and Old Olive Blends to color this floral pattern from the black and white Petal Passion Designer Series Paper collection.  I had great plans to add punched leaves and some embellishments, but everything I added took away from the beautiful paper.  The only embellishment I liked was this simple Crinkled Seam Binding bow…

I think simple is just better in this case!  The greeting is from “Big on Birthdays”.

Don’t forget that tomorrow (March 31) is the last day of Sale-a-bration.  I would love to have your business in the online store if you would still like to earn SAB free products!  I am sending a special gift with orders of $35 or more this month.  Orders of $50 or more also get a Buckeye Point in my Loyalty Rewards Program in addition to the SAB Rewards.

If you have a big list, the Starter Kit deal may be for you – you choose $125 in merchandise plus any two stamp sets for $99 + tax (shipping is included).

Have a great weekend!

Celebrate You Thinlits

The script “celebrate” from the Celebrate You thinlits steals the show on this card.  I simply picked some fun papers from the Bubbles & Fizz collection to use as a backdrop.  The pieces measure 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ and 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.

The party blowers are from “Picture Perfect Birthday”.

These are so fun and quite easy to pull together.  You can use your favorite colors and papers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  If you need any supplies, I would love to have your business in my online store.  Please click here to shop or use the carousel below to be directed to a specific product used in today’s project.  I am sending a special gift with online orders of $35 or more this month.  Orders of  $50 or more also get a Buckeye Point in my Loyalty Rewards program in addition to Sale-a-bration benefits.  I appreciate your orders!

SAB Reminders

My first reminder is this…our exclusive Sale-a-bration free products and stamp sets will only be available for a few more days.  Sale-a-bration ends on March 31.  Many choices have been added to the original offerings – please visit the online store to see them all in one place.

The card I am showing today uses the beautiful Springtime Foils, a package of twelve 12″ x 12″ sheets can be chosen for free with a $50 order.  I used sponge brayers to add Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist ink to the specialty paper to make the ombre background.  I posted this card in shades of pink a few weeks ago (click here for that post).

Do you have a preference?  I loved the pink one until I tried it in blues!  Did you notice the Tutti Frutti Sequins on the blue version?  Love those little goodies!!  The patterns included in the Springtime Foils collection are shown below.

My second reminder…Sale-a-bration is a great time to prepay your Paper Pumpkin subscription.  Purchase a 3-month ($59), 6-month ($114), or 12-month ($215) subscription in the online store, and the purchase price counts toward SAB Rewards and Stampin’ Rewards.

When you purchase a subscription in the online store, you will receive an email with a Promo Code.  This Promo Code can be added to any Paper Pumpkin account to extend the subscription.  It can be given as a gift or used on your own account.  If you would like to give it as a gift, the email also delivers a gift card that can be printed for your recipient.

If you would like the 12-month subscription, consider adding $35 in product to the order to reach a total order of $250.  This gives you five increments of $50 for SAB Rewards as well as $50 in FREE product (the product of your choice!) in Stampin’ Rewards.  That’s right…$50!!  Stampin’ Rewards are usually 10% at $250, but during SAB, you get an extra $25 FREE when your order hits $250.

Please note…if you are new to Paper Pumpkin, you can sign up under the current promotion (first two months half off with Promo Code SAVEFIFTY0418) and then enter Prepaid Promo Codes after the first two months.  Please contact me at stampyourworld@gmail.com if you have any questions.

And last but not least…if you have a big wish list, consider the Starter Kit.  During SAB, you can choose two free stamp sets with your Starter Kit.  You will choose $125 in product AND two stamp sets for $99 + tax (shipping is included).  There is no obligation to purchase beyond the Starter Kit, and there is no obligation to sell.  You will get 20% off future purchases as a Demonstrator – the discount increases with additional sales.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me at stampyourworld@gmail.com if you have any questions or click here to purchase a Starter Kit.

Weather Together

April is just around the corner, with its warmer temperatures and showers instead of snow 🙂  We made this seasonal card last night in Card Ministry to send to our home-bound friends in April.  It uses the Weather Together bundle along with one of the framelits from the Lovely Words collection.

I have also added a few Glitter Epoxy Shapes – the embellishments really make it special!

Fruit Basket Double Z Card

This is a fun fold, a “Double Z”, that creates a small frame on the front of and inside the card.  It’s perfect for the cute little images and greetings of the Fruit Basket Bundle.

And don’t you just love the range of colors in the Tutti Frutti designer paper?  I picked Night of Navy and Real Red to coordinate with the strawberry print, but there are so many color options in this collection, all so fresh and bright!

The video below gives complete instructions.

Real Red  4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″

Night of Navy 3 1/4″ x 9″, scored at 3″ and 6″

(2) Lemon Lime Twist 2 3/4″ x 3″

(2) Whisper White 2 1/2″ x 2 3/4″

Today Blooms Just for You

“Perennial Birthday” includes this pretty sentiment along with the sweet flowers and leaves I have used to make the “O” on this card.  See the full set below.

To make the wreath “O”, I started by tracing a 1 3/4″ circle in pencil on the Whisper White mat.  I used the light pencil line as a guide to stamp the leaves and buds, and then I erased it.  You can use this method to make wreaths in different sizes.

Cutting dimensions for this card:

Whisper White  3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″

Flirty Flamingo  3 3/4″ x 5″

*Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Paper 1/2″ x 4 3/4″

*Only 1/4″ of this strip shows – it is overlapped by the Whisper White mat.

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you need any Stampin’ Up! products, I would love to have your business in the online store.

Alaska Achievers Blog Hop – March

Welcome to the Alaska Achievers Blog Hop for March!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog (Chris Slogar) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the projects.

My project this month uses one of my top picks from the 2018 Occasions Catalog – Flying Home.

This sweet little Momma bird tending her chicks is my favorite image from the set – it’s so heartwarming and also so fitting as we head into Spring.  I colored the image with Stampin’ Blends.  To add more interest, I made the card into a fun fold.

The base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Crumb Cake, scored at 1 1/2″ and 7″.  I used the Circle Tab punch piece as a finger-grip to use to open the card.  The matted Whisper White (4″ x 4 1/2″) and designer paper piece (3 7/8″ x 4 3/8″) is attached to the card front with dimensionals, in order to make the tab piece easier to grab.

The designer paper is from the Tutti Frutti collection.  I have also added a Whisper White mat with a 3/8″ strip of coordinating designer paper to the inside of the card.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop today!  Remember that currently you are at my blog – Chris Slogar – so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next, and enjoy!

Easter Pastels

The foils on this card make it striking, without a lot of work.  I used a sponge brayer with Wisteria Wonder on my background mat from Springtime Foils. The delicate cross thinlit from the Cross of Hope bundle coordinates so nicely with the foil pattern of the paper.  The Old Olive strip is from Sweet Soiree, and the cross is cut from Silver Foil.

Have a great Monday!
