Cake Soiree Sneak Peek
Everything about the Sweet Soiree Suite lives up to its name – the colors, the patterns, the fonts, and the accessories. They all add up to a party, and the look is charming! I’m showing off just a few of those elements here.
The color combination is inspired by the suite’s luxurious Specialty Designer Paper, which includes silver foil accents on one side of every sheet. It’s absolutely gorgeous! The present and tag are created with the Cake Soiree bundle. The background mat is embossed with the new Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textures Embossing Folder. The Berry Burst Ribbon and Silver Baker’s Twine is new, too. All of these items will be available starting January 3.

Hearts Come Home
My upline Mindy Gray sent me this collection of cards made the Hearts Come Home bundle, one of my favorites. I just love them! They each look special, without being too complicated. The Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler cards use a standard card base – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. The Night of Navy uses a fun fold.
The card front is only 3″ tall, and opens as shown below.
To duplicate this card, start with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Night of Navy for the card back. Add a folded piece of Night of Navy – 3″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ – aligning with the lower edge of the card back. Then add the Whisper White piece – 4″ x 5 1/4″ – and a punched Night of Navy trim piece along the top of the card front.
Each of these cards is fabulous for CASE-ing with “Hearts Come Home” or another set; they are such adaptable layouts. This particular stamp set and its coordinating framelits are going to carry over, meaning they will be available after the Holiday Catalog sales period ends on January 2. However, the stamps and framelits will no longer be available in a bundle with a 10% discount after January 2.

Waterfront Sneak Peek
Today’s card feels appropriate with the winter weather that has arrived in Ohio. We have a light covering of snow, and the skies have been gray. I used “Waterfront” from the upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalog to make my card. This set will be fabulous for nature scenes in all seasons.

Picture Perfect Birthday & SAB Sneak Peeks
I’m torn between looking ahead to the new catalogs (Occasions 2018 and Sale-a-bration) and enjoying the holiday products before they are gone! The rest of the year will be a mix of the two for me.
I know these preprinted cards and envelopes are going to be a Sale-a-bration favorite. The set includes four of each of the four colors, and you will be able to choose them for free with a $50 order. They are made to coordinate with the Tutti-frutti Suite in the upcoming Occasions Catalog, but I have used them here with the Bubbles & Fizz paper and Shimmer Ribbon – both are also a Sale-a-bration items.
The stamp set is from the Picture Perfect Party Suite, and there are trims and colors in the suite that also coordinate. There is a lot of potential to mix suites and items in these upcoming catalogs.
My favorite detail on these cards may be the stitching at the top of the Whisper White banner. I started with a 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Whisper White, and I trimmed off a bit at the top by slipping the top edge only under one of the larger Stitched Square Framelits. I punched the other end with the Banner Triple Punch.

Farewell to Another Favorite!
“Merry Cafe” did not make the carryover list, but you can still get it while supplies last. The gorgeous Quilted Christmas Designer Paper, Ribbon and Stitched Felt Embellishments are also retiring. I love the cheery Real Red and Garden Green color they are providing this holiday season.
Speaking of cheer, finals week is a good time to send some! This little card started as a 4 1/4″ x 10″ Thick Whisper White base. I scored the base at 4 1/4″ and 8 1/2″ to create a pocket to hold the “Cheer”. I used my 1″ circle punch to notch the pocket. You could also tuck a teabag into this card.

Christmas in the Making
I haven’t gotten a chance to make my own cards with “Christmas in the Making”, so I am sharing one that I received from my upline Mindy Gray. I love how Mindy used just a little color to highlight the image and the greeting. Isn’t it absolutely lovely?! From the images to the font, this stamp set is so sweet and sentimental – and it’s fun for coloring!

Mini Treat Bag Thinlits
This time of year, I love the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits for gift cards and gift certificates. I created these two versions with plaids from Year of Cheer and Merry Little Christmas. Our two-sided designer series paper is especially great for these bags because you get a peek of a coordinating pattern on the inside of the bag.
Each bag holds an insert piece with a pocket at the bottom. The cardstock measures 3 3/8″ x 6 1/4″, scored at 1 1/2″. I wrapped strips of designer paper around the top edge of the pocket to the back of the cardstock, thus holding the pocket in its folded position.
