Now, on to last night’s Facebook Live projects. I am showing pictures and dimensions here for easy reference, but you may need to see the video for complete instructions. Please click here to see the video – and please join the Buckeye Inklings Stampers Group on Facebook to get notifications of all of my live videos.

I started with these two matchbook-style gift card holders. I used products from the Penguin Place bundle with the SAB Penguin Playmates designer paper, and products from the Sweet Stockings Suite.

Each holds a flat pocket for a gift card. Dimensions are as follows…

  • Cardstock base 3 1/4″ x 9 1/4″, scored @ 3 1/2″, 4″, 8 1/4″
  • Designer Paper – start with 4″ x 12″ piece. Cut off 3″ to create a 4″ x 9″ piece and a 4″ x 3″ piece. Score the 9″ length at 3″, 6″. Cut along the 4″ length of the smaller piece to create two pieces – 3″ x 3 1/4″ and 3″ x 3/4″
  • Cardstock mats 3 1/8″ x 3 3/8″ and 3 1/8″ x 7/8″

I used products from the Cute Halloween Suite in my second matchbook-style project. These matchbooks hold a treat in a gusseted pouch.

The base is very similar to the matchbook gift card holders. It is just narrower. Dimensions are as follows…

  • Cardstock base 2 1/2″ x 9 1/4″, scored @ 3 1/2″, 4″, 8 1/4″
  • Designer Paper 3″ x 6″, scored @ 1 1/2″, 1 3/4″, 2″, 4 1/4″, 4 1/2″, 4 3/4″
  • Designer Paper 2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ and 2 1/4″ x 3/4″

I hope you’ll try these – they make a quick and easy favor, and they can be made for any theme!

Thank you for checking out my projects today! If you need any of our fabulous products, please click here for the online store, or use the carousel below to go directly to a product used today. (Due to the variety of projects, I am omitting ink and cardstock from the carousel.)

Corner Latch Card

The bright prints of the Painted Christmas suite satisfy our need for traditional colors and images! There are two bundles in the suite which supply all kinds of greenery and greetings – and they are available, along with the gorgeous designer paper, starting August 3!

This is a Corner Latch Card – I learned the layout from a post by LeeAnn Greff. The front panel tucks under a triangle at the bottom right corner.

The images on the inside can also be seen when the card is closed, making this a great card for any of our coordinating suites of designer paper and stamps.

Dimensions are as follows:

  • Real Red 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ – also cut off a 2 3/4″ length from the card front to use as a mat for the front panel
  • Designer Paper (Qty 2) 2 1/2″ x 4″ – note that they are placed in opposite orientations on the card, so plan accordingly with directional paper
  • Real Red 2 1/4″ square, cut in half diagonally and mounted on dimensionals at bottom right corner
  • Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″

I won’t have a carousel of products today, as most of these products are not available until August 3. In the meantime, if you are shopping, please click here to go to my online store. Place a $35 order with Host Code 73G7CNYM in July, and I will send you a package of Artistry Blooms Sequins and a handmade card. Easy Origami Box

Last night on Facebook Live, I showed how to make these cute little treat boxes in different sizes. They all use product that will be available starting August 3 from the upcoming Mini Catalog.

I am adding pictures and dimensions here for easy reference, but you may need to see the video for complete instructions. Please click here to see the video – and please join the Buckeye Inklings Stampers Group on Facebook to get notifications of all of my live videos.

I CASEd this project from Bianca Oberauer, who presented it in metric. In the process of converting her dimensions, I found that I like this box in many different sizes.

Each of my boxes is made from a single rectangle of designer paper, and they close without the need for adhesive. I will give dimensions and score lines for each of my samples, but I encourage you to think of the pattern and spacings shown below. The pattern will allow you to figure out the score lines and rectangle size for any box.

In the live video, we started with the largest box shown here. It is easier to practice the folding on the larger boxes. In the case of the large box, “x” is 2 3/8″, and the overall rectangle size is 4x wide and 5x long, or 9 1/2″ x 11 7/8″. We could have made the finished box longer by increasing the 9 1/2″ dimension.

Regardless of the dimension you use where the diagram says “2x or more”, the initial score lines need to be 2 3/8″ from each edge, on all four sides, and more score lines need to be added at a 2 3/8″ spacing along the 11 7/8″ dimension. So, along the 11 7/8″ dimension, score lines are at 2 3/8″, 4 3/4″, 7 1/8″ and 9 1/2″.

My favorite size is the smaller of the penguin boxes shown (the Fresh Freesia print). In that case, “x” is 1 1/2″, and all the dimensions are very easy. The rectangle is 6″ x 7 1/2″. The 7 1/2″ dimension is scored at 1 1/2″, 3″, 4 1/2″ and 6″. The 6″ dimension could be made longer for a longer box, and it is scored at 1 1/2″ from either edge.

The Halloween boxes were limited by the 6″ square size of the Cute Halloween designer paper. I made the Flirty Flamingo box as large as possible, with “x” at 1 3/16″. My rectangle size is 6″ x 5 15/16″. Scoring along the 5 15/16″ dimension is 1 3/16″, 2 3/8″, 3 9/16″ and 4 3/4″. The score lines along the 6″ dimension are 1 3/16″ from either end.

Finally, the dimensions are a little easier for the Highland Heather box. With “x” at 1 1/8″, I used a rectangle 4 1/2″ x 5 5/8″, scored at 1 1/8″, 2 1/4″, 3 3/8″ and 4 1/2″. The score lines along the 4 1/2″ dimension are 1 1/8″ from either end.

I hope you’ll give these a try. Once you get the folding down, they are so quick! They check all of my boxes for favorite projects – using two sides of designer paper, adaptable for any theme, and easy.

I won’t have a carousel of products today, as most of these products are not available until August 3. If you are anxious to get them sooner – you can always join as a Demonstrator and choose them in your Starter Kit! Pull-Up Gift Card Holders

I made two types of gift card holders last night on Facebook Live – each has a piece that pulls up from a pocket on the inside of the card.

The first one uses the Penguin Place bundle and Penguin Playmates designer paper that will be available starting August 3. The paper will be a Sale-a-bration “Free with $50” item. Yippee!

The projects in this post are from last night’s Facebook Live. I am adding pictures and dimensionts here for easy reference, but you may need to see the video for complete instructions. Please click here to see the video – and please join the Buckeye Inklings Stampers Group on Facebook to get notifications of all of my live videos.

If you reference the video, please note that I misspoke when giving the card base dimensions for the penguin card – it should be Thick Basic White 5 1/2″ x 7 3/4″, scored at 2 3/4″ and 6 1/4″. The tabs are made on the short side, 3/8″ from either edge.

The rest of the dimensions are as follows…

  • Pull Piece 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″, scored 3/8″ from each edge on one side
  • Designer Paper 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ and 1 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
  • Band 1 1/2″ x 8 1/2″

The second gift card holder uses the stamp set Joyful Life.

It can be made in the portrait orientation (as shown) or landscape, so that the gift card pulls from a pocket at the right side of the card.

Dimensions are as follows…

  • Soft Sea Foam 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Thick Basic White 4″ x 10″, scored at 4 1/4″ and 8 1/2″, with tabs made along the short side at 3/8″ from either edge
  • Pull Piece 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″, scored 3/8″ from each edge
  • Designer Paper 3″ x 4″ and 3″ x 1/2″

Don’t forget my tip for assembly – burnish the pull piece in a z-shape, but assemble with the top edge unfolded. Simply lay the pull piece so that the top edge is unfolded and the bottom edge is folded and tucked down into the pocket. Add adhesive to the 3/8″ tab at the top, and place the top edge just below the fold in the card base.. Then press the card front closed and presto! – when it opens, you will have created the configuration shown above.

I won’t have a carousel of products today, as most of these products are not available until August 3. If you are anxious to get them sooner – you can always join as a Demonstrator and choose them in your Starter Kit! Please don’t hesitate to contact me at stampyourworld@gmail.com if you would like to set up a call to discuss this.

We have two great catalogs coming up – the July-December Mini and Sale-a-bration Catalogs. If you have ordered from me in the last six months, these are on the way to you this week in the mail. If you don’t have a Demonstrator, or if it has been longer since you shopped, please email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com to receive these in the mail. As always, there are so many beautiful new ribbons and designer papers in these catalogs – I know you want them all! You can get them all in a share without purchasing all of the full packages.

What is a share? A share is a sampling of the product. I purchase the full packs of ribbon and paper, and I divide them into smaller amounts so that a group of customers can “share” full packages.

I have included all of the ribbon from the July-December Mini Catalog for a total of 22 1/2 yards. I will cut the ribbon from each spool into four equal shares. This will amount to approximately 2 1/2 yards (90″) of each.

Mini Catalog Sneak Peeks

I used a few items from my Mini Catalog preorder in this week’s Facebook Live. I started with the super-cute set “Sweets & Treats” to make this fun card. There are different sweets in the set to put on the cake plate – cupcakes, a pie, and a Christmas pudding – but I went with the candy apples to start.

The dome for the cake plate coordinates with another upcoming bundle, “Classic Cloche”. I cut the dome from a Window Sheet with a die from that bundle.

The projects in this post are from last night’s Facebook Live. I am adding pictures here for easy reference, but you may need to see the video for complete instructions. Please click here to see the video – and please join the Buckeye Inklings Stampers Group on Facebook to get notifications of all of my live videos.

Thank you for any help you can give me in Likes, Shares, and orders in the online store. It is my goal to continue to bring you project ideas for free, and your support helps.

The Classic Cloche bundle has a coordinating shaker dome, and I showed how to make this shaker card with the Subtle Shimmer Sequins that will be available from the new catalog.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to line up the clear stamps in this set to make this scene – there are three steps, and I was having great success with my acrylic blocks, so I didn’t even bother to put this one on the Stamparatus. (The cake plate and dome shown above were actually harder to line up, so those did go on the Stamparatus!)

I won’t have a carousel of products today, as most of these products are not available until August 3. If you are anxious to get them sooner – you can always join as a Demonstrator and choose them in your Starter Kit! As promised in my Live, here again is the list of designer papers that is discounted in July…

Summer is Peachy

“You’re a Peach” is the perfect suite for summer, and I love that the paper collection includes Balmy Blue! It’s such a nice contrast to the peachy colors.

This card also shows off a great new die – Stitched Greenery. The stitched leaves make such a beautiful background mat.

Thank you for checking out my card today. If you need any products, click here for my online store or use the carousel below to be directed to a particular product used today.
