Welcome to the Trip Achievers Blog Hop for October! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog (Chris Slogar) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along through all of the projects.
My card today uses a selection of products from our August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. The stamps and dies from the In the Pines Bundle were my inspiration, and I used them with ‘Tis the Season designer paper and a greeting from the Tag Buffet stamp set.
The red plaid designer paper measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ to cover the full card. The Crumb Cake mat measures 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″, and the Shaded Spruce measures 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″. The label dies are from the Tasteful Labels collection.
Thank you for visiting my site! Please use the list below to continue to the next demonstrator.
We made this card in our Team Meeting this week. Two panels of the designer paper flip back to reveal the opposite side, as is typical of collar fold cards. It’s a simple design that shows off pretty two-sided paper. I’ll list dimensions below, but please find complete instructions in the video. If you are receiving this post in an email, please click here for the video.
Real Red 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Designer Paper 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″

I used the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Sheets to make these cards last night on Facebook Live.
My first is a CASE of Jan Clothier’s card which you can see here. It is almost an exact CASE – I loved everything about her card so much!
The laser-cut foil piece is mounted on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, and then on a Cajun Craze mat and card base. The mat is embossed with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.
The colored leaves are cut from Watercolor Paper with the Forever Flourishing dies. I watercolored them with Water Painters in Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler.
I used another of the laser-cut pieces on this bright and beautiful card. In this case, I used my Sponge Brayers to create an ombre background on the Very Vanilla piece behind the laser-cut piece. the colors are Crushed Curry, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade.
The greeting is from “Ridiculously Awesome” and I added a few Artistry Blooms Sequins and a Bumblebee ribbon.
These cards were made by adding color to the white side of the laser-cut sheets. I placed a laser-cut panel over a piece of Very Vanilla and added colors (Crushed Curry, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade) with Sponge Brayers. I used the laser-cut piece on the card on the left, and the Very Vanilla piece on the card on the right.
Note that these panels fit out precut and scored note cards perfectly – these are the Very Vanilla note cards. The greeting is from “Massive Thanks”.
Finally, I showed these inlaid die cards. Three leaves on each card are cut into the Plaid Tidings papers, and then the cardstock leaves are added into those openings on the finished card.
The plaid paper shows the stitched outline of the leaves. It’s subtle and hard to see in the photograph, but a nice detail.
Also note my use of the gold foil laser-cut sheets under the greetings on these cards and the previous thank you cards. I simply punched the foil with a 1 1/2″ Circle Punch (thank yous) and the Timeless Label Punch (inlaid leaves).

I made this card for a color challenge on my team, and while it wasn’t a combination I would have picked out on my own, I really like it! That usually is the case with color challenges. These colors are Early Espresso, Cinnamon Cider and Petal Pink.
The coffee cups are from “Nothing’s Better Than…” and the greeting is a favorite of mine from “Fancy Phrases”.

I presented this fun layout in many forms last night on Facebook Live. There are so many great things about it. It’s simple and adaptable to any occasion. It stretches your designer paper, and it leaves many great options for a greeting (make sure to look through all of the examples to see this).
All of the cards shown today have a standard base (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″) and two mats. In the card shown above, the Bumblebee mat measures 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″, and the Whisper White measures 4″ x 5 1/4″.
The black plaid designer paper started as a 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ rectangle. It is cut at an angle, starting at 1 1/2″ below the top edge at left and finishing at 1/2″ below the top edge at right. This creates the trapezoid pieces.
Check out all of the examples below to see how I have used pieces with these same dimensions for many different looks.
I started by mixing and matching the trapezoid pieces. Note that every arrangement will leave the complementary pieces for another card (in the case of the pumpkin, I have the remaining upper trapezoid in plaid and the lower trapezoid in Basic Gray for another card.)
Note how I used a Whisper White piece to accommodate a bigger greeting on the Haunted House card.
On the card on the left, I used designer paper for my 4″ x 5 1/4″ mat.
Our coordinating papers are perfect for this layout. These are from the Trimming the Town collection.
In this case, I needed a wider strip for my greeting, so I cut 1/4″ off the bottom of my Old Olive striped paper. These stamps are from “Tag Buffet”.

We made this fun fold in our Team Meeting last night – it was a project shared by my upline Mindy Gray. The front panel is a perfect place to showcase an image, like this stocking from “A Merry Hello”.
Here’s a better picture of the folds. Dimensions are as follows:
Misty Moonlight 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 5 1/2″
Thick Whisper White 2 1/2″ x 9 1/2″, scored at 4 3/4″
Whisper White 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8″
Designer Paper 2 3/4″ x 4″ and 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
This stamp set is the host set from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. It can be purchased with Stampin’ Rewards earned on orders over $150.
Stampin’ Rewards are earned on your own order over $150, or you can earn them with a few friends who would like to order as a group. Please contact me at stampyourworld@gmail.com if you would like to set up a group order to collect orders to earn rewards – just three $50 orders placed on one Host Code can earn you this beautiful set!

I have a simple layout to share today, and I love it because it can be made in any theme and with any greeting. I used a plaid paper punched with the Rectangle Postage Stamp as a backdrop for three fall images – leaves from the Stitched Leaves dies and a flower from the Medium Daisy punch.
My second version uses cups from the Nothing’s Better Than bundle and holiday paper from the Heartwarming Hugs collection. The greeting is from “Massive Thanks” – this is a great stamp set that includes coordinating sentiments for the inside of your card (see the full set below).

I used Embossing Paste with die cut “stencils” last night on my Facebook Live, and while it’s hard to appreciate the texture provided by the paste in pictures – it is a nice effect in person.
The snowflake here is made with our white embossing paste, spread over a die-cut snowflake that had been previously sponged in Misty Moonlight ink. The paste picks up the blue tint as it is spread, resulting in a mottled color. (You can premix the paste with a reinker and spread over a Whisper White die-cut if you prefer a more uniform color.)
Backing up a bit, I first made this pretty background. I cut the large snowflake die (So Many Snowflakes die set) from a piece of Whisper White cardstock. The die cut served as stencil for this background piece. I used a dauber to fill in the Misty Moonlight color to create the snowflakes. I finished this card with a layer of vellum, some additional snowflakes, and a greeting.
I then used the daubered die cut as a stencil for my embossing paste projects. The embossing paste picks up color from the ink, creating the effect on the first card shown above, and the cards below.
I also made some really easy note cards…
In the simpler version, I simply daubered (is that a word?) over a die cut from the Christmas Layers collection. The “stepped-up” version is not much more difficult. I simply added a 1/2″ strip of designer paper, a strip of vellum doily, and a snowflake. Wouldn’t these be cute to make in sets for holiday giving?
I brought back the embossing paste for my final project using the In the Pines bundle. The Shaded Spruce tree in the foreground is cut from a die in this bundle, and there is a coordinating die that I used to make a stencil for the embossing paste.

Welcome to the Trip Achievers Blog Hop for September! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog (Chris Slogar) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along through all of the projects.
Lately, I have been making shadow box favors for lip balms and hand sanitizers, and I wanted to share one with this hop. I used a stamp from Everything Essential to decorate my hand sanitizer box.
The Magenta Madness shadow box is wrapped in a cardstock cover. You can see more of the shadow box below.
Shadow boxes are so versatile because you can adjust the size of the opening to fit any item. The video below shows how to make this size, though it is decorated differently. If you are receiving this post in an email, please click here for the video.
Thank you for visiting my blog! Please use the list below to continue to the next demonstrator.
