Happiest of Birthdays

The greeting set I used here, Happiest of Birthdays, has a few things going for it. Clearly, it has a large and pretty birthday greeting, which is great for easy cards. It also has a belated birthday greeting, which I often need, and two other very useful birthday sentiments.

I made a few of these, with papers and trims from the Playing with Patterns Suite. The striped strips measure 1″ x 4″, and the larger pieces measure 4″ x 4 1/4″. This is a great layout for many papers!

Sunflower Note Cards

I used the small sunflower in “Celebrate Sunflowers” with a greeting from the Simply Citrus kit to make this quick set of note cards. I colored the sunflowers with my Blends – Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Just Jade.

The designer paper is from the newest In Color collection – I used two of the Bumblebee patterns. They measure 3″ x 4 1/2″.

Celebrate Sunflowers

Today I am sharing my Facebook Live projects from last night. The big sunflower from “Celebrate Sunflowers” fills a whole pot on my first project – a fun fold. The flower swings up and the flowerpot opens to the left to reveal the message space.

Dimensions are as follows:

  • Misty Moonlight 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Misty Moonlight 1 1/2″ x 3″, scored at 2 1/2″
  • Floral Designer Paper 3″ x 4″
  • Just Jade Designer Paper and Whisper White 2 1/2″ x 4″

I used rectangles cut from the Stitched Rectangles collection to make the pot – the smallest for the rim, and half of a 3 5/8″ x 2 1/4″ rectangle for the pot.

*****Added 6/12 – YouTube video instructions*****

My second project uses the same flower on a similar tab. The flower opens to the right, and the card opens to the left.

Dimensions are as follows:

  • Just Jade 4 1/4″ x 9 3/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ and 1 1/2″ x 4″, scored at 3 1/2″
  • Whisper White 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Floral Designer Paper 4″ x 4″
  • Just Jade Designer Paper 1 1/4″ x 4″

*****Added 6/12 – YouTube video instructions*****

Both of the previous examples use the Flowers for Every Season designer series paper. For a totally different look, I made a very similar card with paper from the In Good Taste collection…

I did not add the tab piece on this version, but everything else is the same as the Just Jade card shown above.

The greeting is from “Happiest of Birthdays”.

Simply Citrus

Our kits are great for all levels of stampers. New and experienced stampers alike can appreciate the fact that the coordination and planning is all done and delivered for one low cost. Stamps, ink, paper AND trims – it’s all there.

The cards made from our new Simply Citrus kit are shown above. The kit makes three of each design shown, for a total of 15 cards – at a cost of only $32! I love the bright colors and fun greetings in this kit. I also appreciate the little extras – the coordinating twine and flower sequins.

When I was done with the kit cards, I used the stamps from the kit to make an easy set of cards on our pre-cut and scored Whisper White note cards. The images are colored with Blends – in Daffodil Delight and Just Jade. What a great summery combination!

Forever Greenery Suite

I made these two projects last night on Facebook Live using products from the gorgeous new Forever Greenery Suite.

The card’s focal point is a stitched scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I cut it from Shimmery White cardstock so that I could do a light watercolor wash on it with Soft Sea Foam ink. Our Shimmery White cardstock holds up to a bit of water.

I added a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of vellum behind the greeting so that it wouldn’t get lost in the background print – all in all, I think it tuned out to be an eyecatching card though it was easy to make.

I made my greeting on the favor in a similar way. I did a light wash over the Shimmery White stitched circle, let it dry, and then stamped over it.

The coordinating favor is made from a 6″ x 12″ piece of designer paper. The box section at the base measures 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ x 3″. I found that our embellishment containers fit nicely in that space.

These “boxes” lay flat for storage – that may be handy if you need to make them ahead of time and transport them. The lengthwise scores on the designer paper are at 1 1/2″ and 4 1/2″, and the scores in the other direction are at 3″, 4 1/2″, 8 3/4″ and 11 3/8″. Plan the scores carefully if you have a directional pattern on your designer paper.

Forever Fern

Woohoo!! Only one more day until the items from the new Annual Catalog are available!

Today I have a sample from the Forever Fern bundle, which includes a load of leafy stamps and dies. It will be a great staple to have on hand for all kinds of natural elements on elaborate projects – or for simple stamping like I have done on this project.

Have a great day!

Field of Flowers

Happy June! June is a great month in the Stampin’ Up! world because it is the month our new Annual Catalog goes live! Starting June 3, you will be able to order all of your favorite new products.

I am showing a handful of new products today – the Field of Flowers Bundle, new designer paper in a great new color (Misty Moonlight) and a new twine. I simply CASEd a card on page 117 of the new annual catalog using my favorite colors.

Would you like a copy of this catalog? If you don’t already have a Demonstrator, I would love to send you one. Please email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com with your mailing address.

And if you do have the new catalog, perhaps you have a big wish list?! If so, you should consider our Starter Kit deal, which is enhanced for June! Typically, new Demonstrators can choose $125 in product for $99 + tax, shipping is included. Starting June 3, you can also choose a product bundle – either a stamp and punch bundle from pages 168-169 or a stamp and die bundle from pages 173-179.

Becoming a Demo is as easy as ordering a Starter Kit, but there is no obligation to purchase anything further or to sell. Your purchases will be discounted at least 20% while you are active, so this is a great way to save money on your hobby. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions on this – email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com and we can set up a call.

If you know you would like to join, click here to order your Starter Kit – but please wait until June 3 in order to get the extra bundle!

Starting June 3, there is also an extra perk for Customers – orders over $250 (individual or group orders) will earn $25 in addition to the normal Stampin’ Rewards as shown in the chart on page 187 of the catalog. If you have a large order, or a group that would like to order together, this will give you more for your money in June!

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, or if you would like to set up a group order to earn the extra rewards. Individuals in a group can order separately with shipping to their own addresses, while the benefits collect for the Host. Email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com to set up a call.

More Than a Card

These are three examples of the “More Than a Card” cards I showed last night on Facebook Live. Each is made with a single sheet of 12″ x 12″ designer paper.

They are multi-pocket cards, and I made the Magnolia Lane version last night. When you open the cover, you see a slot pocket which holds a bookmark, and two small pockets.

The bookmark is a 2″ x 5″ piece of a coordinating Memories & More card, punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. My small pockets hold a gift card and a note card. The Mossy Meadow note card measures 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″, with a 2 1/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of Whisper White.

Behind the small pockets, there is also a large pocket for a note card.

The Petal Pink mat measures 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, and the Whisper White measures 3 3/8″ x 5 3/8″. Those great leafy stamps and the bookmark greeting are from “Forever Fern”, a set that will be available starting June 3. The other greetings are from “Peaceful Moments”.

The sailing version of this card is very similar – the pictures show its contents.

I made a YouTube video (below) for this version. If you are receiving this post in an email, please click here for the video.

And finally, here’s a look at the contents in the bird version. These are really fun to make! I hope you will give them a try!

Best wishes to you and your families as we kick off summer with this most meaningful American holiday!

I always love a red, white and blue combo, and what a fabulous new blue we have here…Misty Moonlight! That perfect Memorial Day greeting is from “Peaceful Moments” – and we have wonderful stitched star dies this year, so I couldn’t resist a shower of stars!
