Paper Pumpkin Anniversary Edition

Sign up by March 10 to get this year’s Anniversary Edition of Paper Pumpkin. This year’s free gift is a stamp set – this set is IN ADDITION TO the all-occasion set to make the kit’s nine cards.

If you have ever wanted to try Paper Pumpkin, I recommend this month’s kit for the extra perk! There is no subscription length – you can cancel at any time. Sign up through the Paper Pumpkin website – $23.50 includes shipping, and you will see there that you have options to suspend for months you do not want to receive.

You can also buy “prepaid” months in our Online Store. If you do this, you will receive a Promo Code by email, and you must still set up a subscription at the Paper Pumpkin website. Simply use the Promo Code in the payment section when setting up your Paper Pumpkin subscription. The advantage of purchasing the prepaid code is that your purchase qualifies for Stampin’ Rewards in the store.

There is no guarantee that extra kits will be available later – I always get asked for extras later, and there are never enough!

Fun Folds with Designer Paper

Last night on Facebook Live, I showed off two fun folds that I love. Each uses a fair amount of designer paper, so they are perfect for Sale-a-bration when we can choose to receive beautiful designer papers for free with our orders.

The first card I showed is this joy fold, and I used Dandy Designs designer paper. This paper has cute little prints that are not overwhelming, and the fronts and backs coordinate beautifully!

Dimensions are as follows:

  • Coastal Cabana 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Fresh Freesia 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and 4″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 2 3/4″
  • Designer Paper 5 1/4″ x 6″, scored at 2″ (pay attention to the direction of the print)
  • Basic White 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ and Scalloped Contour Die Cut of similar dimensions

I used the stamp set Best Day. I love this set for its quirky images, but also for the wonderful birthday greetings. Not only do I reach for this set repeatedly, I also use every stamp in the set.

Here are two more examples of this fold. The designer paper for each of these is also Dandy Designs, but I have used the Share a Milkshake bundle on the second card.

I used the Regency Park Suite to show an example in the opposite orientation. You can find more examples in this post – note that the size of the smaller folded card can be modified.

The second layout I showed in last night’s Live is this panoramic z-fold, made with Dainty Flowers designer paper. I learned this clever fold from Laura Miller in a team meeting.

The card pulls open to showcase a continuous print over three panels. It’s a little tricky because the designer paper on the front panel extends beyond the fold so that it covers part of the middle panel when open. The designer paper on the middle panel is not as wide as the middle panel, and it is attached leaving a space at its left side.

Note how the designer paper from the front extends beyond the fold, and the designer paper from the middle does not come close to the fold. When the card is open, the image is continuous.

I do recommend watching the video carefully for this one, in order to get the cutting, scoring and placement of the panels correct.

Dimensions are as follows:

  • Starry Sky 5 1/2″ x 11″, scored at 3 1/16″, 6 3/4″
  • Designer Paper 5 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, cut at 3 3/8″ (front panel), 3″ (middle panel), leaving 2 1/8″ for third panel
  • Basic White 1 13/16″ x 5 1/4″

The stamp set here is Framed Florets, another set that I would highly recommend for its beautiful greetings! I am always on the lookout for birthday greetings in great fonts – I think we don’t get enough of them.

Playing in the Rain

Thanks so much to everyone who joined us for our Cards & Crop Hop last weekend! I have a few pictures from our setup, and this location in Reynoldsburg, OH was really perfect for the event, so we plan to do meet here again in the fall.

One of the bundles I featured at the Hop was Playing in the Rain, part of the Rain or Shine Suite. The suite features some really great colors and tools! I CASEd a card by Rachel Aziamadi for one of my make-n-takes.

A window sheet makes up a portion of the card front, and it is embossed with the Raindrops Embossing Folder.

The turtle is cut from the designer paper, which features clear embossing – you can see the shine on the turtle’s shell.

Designer paper covers the location on the inside of the card front where the window sheet is attached to the card base.

You can get more details on how to make this card from Rachel’s post.

This bundle also makes super-cute shaker cards. These shakers are made with a clear medium envelopes and For Everything Fancy Sequins. The bunnies, like the turtle in the previous sample, are cut from the designer paper.

These samples show off another of the great designer papers from this suite. On the bunny card, I created a window into the hill shape to enclose some of the fabulous Loose Daisy Embellishments.

And this final fun fold also shows off that cute field of daisies.

Thank you for checking out my cards! If you need any of our fabulous products, I would very much appreciate your business. Please click here for the online store, or use the carousel below to be directed to a specific product used today.

Joyful Flurry

I used the Joyful Flurry bundle along with a retired sentiment for a seasonal thank you card. This card is definitely appropriate for today’s weather in Ohio! It’s also an appropriate sentiment as I think back over the past year – thank you for your support in 2022!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Candy Wrap Favors

I made these two fun favors on last week’s Facebook Live. The one on the left holds a Reese’s Tree, and the one on the right holds a full size Kit Kat. The great thing about these wraps is that they are made from a rectangle, and there is no extra cutting of flaps – that makes them very easy!

Here’s a better look at the Kit Kat wrap. The base is Starry Sky cardstock, and I have decorated with the Snowflake Specialty Vellum and the Sweet Gingerbread Bundle.

The cardstock measures 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. The 8 1/2″ side is scored at 2 3/4″, 3 3/8″, 6 1/8″ and 6 3/4″. The 5 1/2″ side is scored at 5/8″ and 4 7/8″. The vellum measures 4″ x 8″, scored at 2 1/8″, 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 6 1/8″.

I am posting pictures and dimensions here for easy reference. Please refer to the video at the end of the post for full instructions.

This wrap uses a 6″ square of designer paper as the base. It is scored at 2″, 2 3/4″, 4 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ in one direction, and 1/2″, 1″, 5″, and 5 1/2″ in the other direction.

The ends are pinched closed and either adhered or tied together. I did a more extensive post on this kind of favor here.

I hope you will try these projects in your favorite theme – they are great for any occasion!

Thanks so much for checking out my projects! You can find all of the products I use in my online store. My gift with a $35 order this month is a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush – please shop with Host Code 2P3MCPS4 on orders under $150 (orders over $150, take your own Stampin’ Rewards, and you will also receive my gift). I appreciate your business!
