Butterfly Gala Sneak Peek

I know it is way too early for butterfly cards (sorry!!)  My preorder box arrived in the late afternoon yesterday…need I say more?   I just couldn’t resist pulling out a few items for my Facebook Live last night.  I made two very easy cards, and if nothing else, you can use these layouts for something more seasonal.

The Gingham Gala Suite is going to be a huge hit.  My favorite thing from it is the bright and cheery Gingham Gala designer paper.  There are 5 colors of gingham, 8 sheets of each.  I used one inch strips of the smaller print on this card.  The self-adhesive sequins in two shapes (round and flower) are awesome too.

My second card uses a favorite layout, and I have colored the butterflies with my Stampin’ Blends.  The two butterflies are from a single stamp which coordinates with a punch that punches both sizes at once.

The Whisper White base measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.The Grapefruit Grove is the layer that folds.  It measures 5 1/4″ x 6 3/4″, scored at 4″.  The inner Whisper White mat measures 3 3/4″ x 5″.  The designer paper measures 2 1/2″ x 5″.

These sneak peek products will be available from our 2019 Occasions Catalog starting January 3.  Our annual Sale-a-bration promotion will start at the same time.  If you don’t already have a Demonstrator, I would be happy to send you Catalogs for these promotions.  Please email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com.  I will send these catalogs out in mid-December.

More Swaps!

I made about half of my OnStage swaps with this layout, using three different images.  The designer paper is cut to a 4 1/4″ square, and on this Lovely Lipstick version, I added stamps from “Birthday Backgrounds” and “Blow Out the Candles”.

This version uses my favorite image from “Spirited Snowmen”, colored with Stampin’ Blends.

And this one uses “Abstract Impressions”.  I love to show off our designer paper this way – especially these simple prints from our color collections.  They are a favorite of mine, and so easy to work with!

OnStage OnMyWay!

Woohoo, it’s finally here!!  Our 30th anniversary “OnStage” convention is this week in Orlando.  It will be a great opportunity to see Demonstrator friends, celebrate accomplishments, and see the upcoming catalogs.

Sharing ideas through swaps is always a big part of our gatherings.  I used “P.S. You’re the Best” for this swap.  I just love the classic typewriter, and it is so fun to color with Stampin’ Blends.

I made this as a gate fold card, that comes together in the upper half of the card.  It is one of my favorite folds.  Dimensions and more examples can be found here.

Stay tuned for more swaps, and of course I am looking forward to sharing Sneak Peeks as we start to look ahead to the 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs!!

Dashing Along Designer Paper

If you weren’t able to earn the Dashing Along paper with a qualifying order in September, good news…Stampin’ Up! has made it available in the online store for $11.  You’ll love the classic red and green patterns!  There are three double-sided designs on 12″ sheets, and one package contains four of each, for a total of 12 sheets.

I love it with “Dashing Deer”!

Candy Cane Season

“Candy Cane Season” and the coordinating Candy Cane Builder Punch are so fun! Once I started knocking out candy canes on my Stamparatus, I was hooked.

The stamps in this bundle are Photopolymer, so they are clear.  I set them up on my Stamparatus so that each two-step image would be perfect every time.  I also placed the stamps to fit the punch.  Check out the video below to see what I mean.

The designer paper on this card is from the Santa’s Workshop collection.  I used a 4 1/4″ square and a 5/8″ x 4 1/4″ strip.

Note Card Clutch and More!

I used one folding technique to make two very different projects in last night’s Facebook Live, and I was very relieved at the lack of complications in my live video this week!  LOL

First up, these cute little favors, made with paper from the Festive Farmhouse collection and sized to hold two Hershey Nuggets.

The taller version uses a piece of designer paper 4″ x 6 7/8″ and the shorter version starts at 4″ x 5 7/8″.  Either is scored at 1″ and 3″ on the 4″ side.  The taller one is scored at 2 3/4″ and 4 1/8″ on the other side; the shorter one at 2 1/4″ and 3 5/8″.

Though it looks completely different, this note card clutch uses the same folding technique.

Instead of a shallow pocket area as we have in the favors, I created a tall and narrow pocket area for a set of six note cards.

I used an 11″ square piece of designer paper.  It is scored on one side at 2 3/4″ and 8 1/4″.  On the other side, it is scored at 2 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 7 1/2″, and 8 1/4″.  I’ll attach last night’s Facebook Live below in case you need to see the folding technique again.

I made six simple thank you cards using “Dashing Deer” and our precut and scored note cards with envelopes.

As promised, I also want to give the dimensions for this purse project that I made years ago.  It used the same technique.

As you can see, it has some added trim pieces, but the base is like the other projects.  The designer paper measures 6″ x 6″.  It is scored at 1 1/2″ and 4 1/2″ on one side and 2 1/2″ and 3 1/2″ on the other side.

Also as promised, I want to link you to this note card holder from two years ago.  It uses the same technique.  Click here for the post.

I hope you are seeing how versatile this little pouch fold is.  Don’t be afraid to experiment to come up with your own sizes.

Snowflake Showcase Sneak Peek

There are just two days left now until you can get products from the Snowflake Showcase – a fabulous suite including 20 dies, coordinating stamp sets, embellishments and velvet paper.  These items will be available starting November 1, while supplies last.

The dies are really fabulous, but my unexpected favorite from this suite is the Velvet Paper.  The large snowflake is cut from it on my sample.  It provides a great new texture for our projects.

Check out the flyer below to see all of the products.

Feathers & Frost

“Feathers & Frost” is a set I had to have for coloring!  I used Stampin’ Blends in fall colors – the leaves are Dark and Light Mango Melody; the berries are Light Blackberry Bliss; and the bird is Dark and Light Crumb Cake with Dark Calypso Coral.  I paired the images with a greeting from  “Petal Palette”.

I kept it pretty simple, with just a couple of special touches – the Linen Thread and Artisan Pearls.

If you love coloring, this is a great set for you!  Besides the sweet images, the set also includes pretty greetings for Christmas.
