Spooky Night Treat Tubes

This is another sneak peek…but now, only one day to wait! The sales period for the 2017 Holiday Catalog starts tomorrow, September 1!!

These Treat Tubes are going to be hot! They are so fun for any occasion. I made them here with products from the Spooky Night Suite. The only thing that will be hotter than the Treat Tubes is the Cat Punch, and I have used it here with the stamped cat (top right) and also the printed cat from the designer paper (lower right).

I kept this project really simple. The base is a 3″ x 6″ rectangle, scored at 2 3/8″, 3″ and 3 5/8″. The cardstock mat and insert pieces each measure 2″ x 2 3/4″, and the designer paper measures 1 3/4″ x 2 1/2″. The video below gives more detail on how to assemble the pieces.

Smitten Mittens Sneak Peek

The Smitten Mittens Bundle was near the top of my Holiday Catalog Wish List. I know it will be a hit with its warm and cozy mitten-building components, and I love the fact that it can be used beyond Christmas.

Painted Autumn Pumpkin

You are going to love this year’s Painted Autumn designer series paper! I made a quick punch art pumpkin from it with my 1 1/2″ circle punch and the new Leaf Punch. The stem is cut by hand. The designer paper and the Leaf Punch will be available from our upcoming Holiday Catalog, starting September 1 – only a few more days to wait!!

Weather Together Shower Card

I attended a bridal shower for a special young woman this weekend. What a treat to share in this kind of joy!

The umbrella from “Weather Together” makes the perfect shower accessory! It was so easy to fill with flowers from the Home Life Bundle. There is a stamp to create all of these flowers in one image, and a single coordinating die to cut them out all at once. You don’t have to line up teeny tiny dies to get this bunch!

I did pull out my retired Tip Top Taupe for my card base and umbrella – to match the bride’s color scheme. The background paper is from the Whole Lot of Lovely designer paper collection. This is such a pretty group of papers to have in your stash – perfect for so many occasions!

September Classes To Go

I know you’ll be excited to get crafting with new Holiday Catalog product, so I am taking orders this week for the September Classes To Go. Please note that I am only taking orders through Thursday, August 31. I want to order early to avoid any supply issues (hopefully), but also to get these classes to you quickly! Classes will ship out no later than Friday, September 8.

The Painted Harvest Bundle has been very popular among Demonstrators in the August preorder. We love the ease of the watercolor images, and we love a punch!! I know you’ll love it too! The stamp set is bundled with the Leaf Punch.

In order to keep the cost down, I have not added additional product to this class – the class cost is based on the bundle only. The class materials include supplies to make six cards, two each of the three designs shown. I will also include a sample of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper at no additional cost.

In order to comply with Stampin’ Up! rules, I must take orders before obtaining product for the class. I will take orders through Thursday, August 31, or until I reach capacity. Spooky Cat

Continuing with my week of sneak peeks…this time, the cat from “Spooky Cat”. This is a super-easy card, thanks to the Cat Punch that will be available from the 2017 Holiday Catalog. The black and white striped ribbon will also be available from the Holiday Catalog starting September 1. It is a wired ribbon, so it will be great for decor and packages. It coordinates with some of the Christmas papers that are coming, but I like it here for Halloween, too.

I cut the Lemon Lime Twist moon with a 2 5/8″ circle framelit from the Layering Circles collection. The embossing folder is “Sparkle”.

Merry Cafe

I have another sneak peek today. This time, a fall fun fold using the Painted Autumn designer series paper and stamps from “Merry Cafe”. The stamp set coordinates with the Coffee Cup framelits that were introduced in this year’s Annual Catalog. It includes a lot of fun seasonal accents for the coffee cups – for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

When I made this card type in the past, I carefully cut out a portion of a standard card front. My upline Mindy Gray showed me a much easier way this summer. For this card, I started with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Garden Green. I added a 2 3/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Garden Green, scored at 4 1/4″, with adhesive only where they overlap (see picture below).

The dotted designer paper measures 4″ x 3″, and it overlaps the seam between the two green pieces, hiding it nicely. The Very Vanilla piece measures 4″ x 2″.

The striped designer paper on the front of the card measures 4″ x 2 1/2″. The oval is attached to the front panel, with adhesive only on the lower half of the oval.

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek Blog Hop

I am featuring products from the Spooky Night Suite on my card.

The owl from “Spooky Cat” is stamped directly onto the designer paper – his perch and the moon are printed on the paper in 3″ square panels. I cut 1/8″ off the length and width of this panel to reveal a bit of the 3″ square area of my corner-flip card.

Here’ a look at the inside of the corner that is flipped.

The rats sneaking by along the bottom of the card are my favorite thing here. They are part of the stamp set, too, as is the greeting. The circle sizes are 1 1/4″ and 1 3/8″. The Basic Gray layer under the greeting is made with the Label Me Pretty Bundle.

Last but not least, let’s just take a second to appreciate the trims…the Mini Sequin Trim in black is already available. The Vintage Crochet Trim and the Black Rhinestone Jewels will be available from the Holiday Catalog on September 1. Sweet!!

Painted Harvest Note Cards

I have another version of the beautiful sunflower from “Painted Harvest”, which will be available from the 2017 Holiday Catalog starting September 1. This one is stamped with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie, and the leaf is Lemon Lime Twist with Garden Green.

I stamped the flower and leaves directly onto note cards – these are 3 1/2″ x 5″ Thick Whisper White note cards. They are available in packages of 20, with envelopes, and they are so handy! They come pre-cut and pre-scored.

Painted Harvest Sneak Peek

There are beautiful things coming in the 2017 Holiday Catalog, including these products from the gorgeous Painted Autumn Suite. The two-step stamps in “Painted Harvest” create these fabulous sunflowers, and the stamp set will be available bundled with the punch that I used here to make the Copper Foil leaves.

I stamped the flowers with So Saffron and Crushed Curry, and I added a bit of Lemon Lime Twist – one of the colors in the suite’s designer paper collection. It is such a welcome addition to typical fall shades. Each of the pieces (designer paper background and Very Vanilla panel) measure 3″ x 4″.

Holiday catalog items will be available starting September 1, or you can choose them as part of your Starter Kit now if you join as a Demonstrator.

Do you recognize the trim under the greeting? It is our Copper Trim – you can stretch it out to get different textures. The copper products on this card are all available now from the Annual Catalog.

I have a coordinating throwback picture for this card…

Sunflowers always make me think of our autumn trips to Lynd’s Fruit Farm outside of Columbus. This picture was taken quite a while ago…I think 18 years ago. These little girls are all grown up and headed back to college today!
