Lots of Lavender in Wisteria

“Lots of Lavender” is one of the Sale-a-bration sets that you can choose for free with a $50 order.  While I keep saying that you can color in the images, I have yet to take the time to do so.  This time, I filled in the image with the two-step stamps in Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz and Powder Pink.

I made the same card in Pear Pizzazz.  I do like the delicate look of these soft pastels.

If you would like to shop, please click here to go to the online store.  I am sending a special gift with online orders of $35 or more this month.  Orders of  $50 or more also get a Buckeye Point in my Loyalty Rewards program in addition to Sale-a-bration benefits.  I appreciate your orders!

Pineapple Appeal

Everything about the Tutti Frutti Suite is appealing!  From the charming images to the mini punches, it’s hard to resist.

I punched pineapples at one end of a tag.  There is a piece of Whisper White with two lines of Washi Tape behind the punched pineapples to provide the color.  Such a fun way to use Washi Tape!  The tag was created from a piece of Whisper White, 2″ x 3 1/2″, punched at one end with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

The addition of designer paper and a bit of ribbon finishes this card off.  I love to show off the designer paper in this way, and it makes the backgound easy!  There are so many cute patterns in this Tutti Frutti collection. <3

Celebrate You Thinlits

The Celebrate You Thinlits are probably my favorite of the Sale-a-bration offerings.  You can choose to receive these for free with a $100 order.  I have cut the word “amazing” from Berry Burst cardstock.

I have also used the coordinating stamp set “Amazing You” which is free with a $50 order.

I made this card long before I received my Stamparatus, so I did not do my repetitive stamping with the “Hinge Step”.  I actually used a Wood Mount set to stamp “amazing” five times in Pool Party.

While we await the arrival of our Stamparatus tools, let me share my trick for this – we can call it the “Stamp-a-ma-jig Step”.  I have marked one of my Stamp-a-ma-jig arms at 1/2″ increments.  Upon stamping the first time, I put the Stamp-a-ma-jig arm in place around the stamp and before lifting the stamp.  Then, without ever moving the Stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped 4 more times, using the marks to space each word 1″ apart.

This process is easier to understand in the video below…and while it’s not as fun or cool as the “Hinge Step”, it will get us through until we all have those fabulous tools in our hands!

Have a great day!

Sale-a-bration 2018 Blog Hop

Sale-a-bration starts January 3, and we are kicking it off with a massive blog hop!  There are so many great ideas here to get you excited about the free Sale-a-bration products.  I made a card with “Lots of Lavender”.

The two-step stamps in this set produce a nice watercolored look without watercoloring.  And on those days when you have more time, the images are also great for coloring.  The designer paper and the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon are from the 2018 Occasions catalog.

I went over the flowers with my Wink of Stella Glitter Brush – hope you can see it!  This image is even better with a little sparkle.  The card opens as shown below.

I used a Basic Black card base measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ with 5 1/2″ long strips of Petal Passion designer paper and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock attached to the left and right edges.  The folded Whisper White piece measures 3″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″.

Thanks so much for taking part in our blog hop.  Remember that currently you are at my blog – Chris Slogar – so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next, and enjoy!

Cake Soiree Class To Go

Happy New Year!  New Year…new products 🙂  Today is the last day to order from the 2017 Holiday Catalog, which means tomorrow is the first day to order from the 2018 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs!!

You might have guessed that I would use “Cake Soiree” as my first Class To Go from the 2018 Occasions Catalog.  It’s a bundle that I have grown to love in the Demonstrator preorder period.

This is an expensive bundle, but well worth it!  It is so versatile for birthdays, weddings and anniversaries.  To keep the cost down, I am not adding any additional product to the cost of the bundle.  However, I will include 6″ square samples of the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Paper for FREE.  You can also choose a Sale-a-bration stamp set to be included with your class.

For the cost of the bundle and shipping, you will have the supplies you need to make six great cards (two each of the three designs shown), six 6″ squares of desginer paper, and a Sale-a-bration stamp set.

In order to comply with Stampin’ Up! rules, I must take orders before obtaining product for the class.  I will take orders through Wednesday, January 10, or until I reach capacity.  At that point, I will order product and create kits.  The kits will ship out to you no later than Friday, January 19.

Here’s what’s included:

Cake Soiree Stamp Set

Sweet Cake Framelits Dies

Materials to make six cards, pre-cut, scored, and embossed as necessary

Six Envelopes

Six 6″ squares of Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Paper

SAB stamp set of your choice

Illustrated instructions with dimensions

You will need:

Assorted Ink Pads (I used Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, Marina Mist, and Berry Burst)

Big Shot

Adhesives

The class cost is based on the retail price of the bundle with tax and shipping for me to receive the materials.  I have also added a $7.00 priority mail cost for shipping to you once I have added the class materials.  There is no additional cost for the card materials and instructions.

Cake Soiree Class To Go (Wood Mount)     $91.00

Cake Soiree Class To Go (Clear Mount)     $78.00

To get this bundle and class, please email me at buckeyeinklingsorders@gmail.com to receive a Paypal invoice for the Class To Go Kit.  Please specify Wood or Clear and your SAB stamp set choice.

Using Stamparatus with Two Step, Clear Mount Stamps

I was excited to receive my Stamparatus yesterday, and I put it right to use to make the cake for this simple card.  After watching several videos on the basic use of Stamparatus and other stamp-positioning tools, I wanted to use it for something a bit more complicated – two step stamps that are not transparent.  So I pulled out “Cake Soiree”, a set from the upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalog that is quickly becoming a favorite.

I was thrilled to get good results in both lining up the stamps and mass production!  I recorded a video on the procedure I used to create many cake cut-outs.  It includes detail on how to line up the stamps as well as a trick to produce multiple die-cut images, with a minimum of waste.  If you are receiving this post in an email, click here for the video.

I hope this gets you excited about this fabulous tool!  There are two days left to place a reservation for Stamparatus, with delivery beginning in late March.  Click here to reserve yours by December 30.  The December 5-30 window will be the last chance to reserve Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.

Alaska Achievers Blog Hop – December

Welcome to the Alaska Achievers Blog Hop for December!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog (Chris Slogar) or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the projects.

I have a few new things from our 2018 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs to show off today.  After you flip through to see all of the beautiful stamp sets in a new catalog, isn’t it exciting to focus on all of the new papers and embellishments?

I am a huge fan of the designer papers – and here you see two patterns from the Sweet Soiree Specialty collection.  This collection includes silver foil accents on one side of every sheet.  The patterns are gorgeous!!  And of course they coordinate with the suite’s beautiful stamp set “Cake Soiree” and the Sweet Cake Framelits.

I am also highlighting one of our Sale-a-bration freebies on this card, the die-cut greeting.  It is one of three dies in the Celebrate You Thinlits collection, which will be free with a $100 order during Sale-a-bration!

The new products and SAB freebies will be available starting January 3.  In the meantime, I am taking orders for my Occasions Catalog Shares, and I am pleased to offer a Sale-a-bration stamp set free with your share order this year (details here).

A Sweet Gift

I received a really cool gift from my upline Mindy Gray, and I am anxious to show it off.  First though, can we just admire the packaging she prepared around a Mini Pizza Box?

I think the mix of silver and gold with the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Paper is awesome, but what’s inside is even more awesome.  It’s the perfect gift for an Ohio stamper….

I hope you can tell that it is one of our Size D Acrylic Blocks, etched with the state of Ohio and a heart over Columbus.  Mindy and I both lived in Columbus for many years (it’s where we met).  We have each moved away from Columbus, but there is no doubt that we left pieces of our hearts back “home”.  It’s such an appropriate gift from Mindy – and I just had to share!

Have a great day!

Fruit Basket Sneak Peek

Oh what fun the Tutti-Frutti Suite is!  The Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack makes the cutest pieces for your projects.  The punches coordinate with the “Fruit Basket” stamp set, and the Tutti-Frutti designer paper collection.

I CASEd the upcoming Occasions 2018 Catalog for my card.  The catalog version uses pineapples, but I had to use the berry paper and Night of Navy.  That paper is destined to be a favorite!  I cut a 3″ square (navy print) and a 1″ strip (white print) for this card.  The corduroy ribbon is from another suite in the upcoming catalog, but as you can see, it is perfect here.

All of these items will be available starting January 3.  In the meantime, I am offering Paper and Ribbon Shares from the Occasions Catalog, and you can earn a free stamp set with the purchase of my shares – click here for details.

If you don’t have a demonstrator, and you would like to receive the 2018 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs in the mail, please email me at stampyourworld@gmail.com.
